"She was just finishing cleaning, it was a simple task for her ... it had always been a simple task for her in her whole life. His family had been since the beginning of the new government, they had overthrown kings, they had defeated armies, they had survived all the trials that life had ever given them.

It was not like a battlefield where death was at his side watching as comrades died before the incessant noise of bullets. This time it was slow, constant and ... inevitable, it was as if death itself had come after them ... and the silence that left behind after blinding the life of another soldier was only a preamble to another rumble and another death

Even when the noise was already echoing from the past, she was curled up like a little girl who had had a nightmare ... her iron gaze changed only to desperate eyes, looking for a way to flee and whose tears of fear peered out.
She could see that in her reflection ... she could remember every agonizing second of pain ... every tremor of fear when she was on the ground ... and every shot that exerted that being that was only dubbed with fear as "The White Death". She finished dressing only giving one last look at her reflection, maintaining that look ... even if it was a lie ... she was a soldier, as such she had to stay in front of the eyes of her comrades and superiors
I breathe deeply ... I relax his face for a moment ... and exerted every ounce of concentration in giving his "ice look"
It was just another day ... in this fateful war ... "

I really like how you show how Weiss's face has signs of minor frost bite. Not to mention, the snowflake is nonreflective to prevent the enemy from spotting her.

Completely Wrong. "The White Death" was Simo Hayha, a Finnish soldier, who fought AGAINST Russia. But he still holds the highest kill count for a sniper; 505 confirmed kills, achieved in less than 100 days.

True, but the Finnish-Russian part of the war is one that is typically overlooked. Probably because it was a case of one of the Allies using the war as an excuse to invade a country that wasn't involved, and because Russia got their asses kicked. Similar to how Greece only lost when Italy called in Germany.

Most of the time I see the Finnish-Soviet conflict, the Winter War, regarded as separate from WWII and left out of WWII documentaries and such. Funny thing is that history counts the Soviets as the victors of the Winter War because the Finns sued for peace first and ceded territory as part of the settlement, which they did because they were running out of war supplies while the Soviets were not. However, it was a lot less than the Soviets wanted (since, you know, they wanted to annex all of Finland) and the Soviets were just as eager to stop the fighting because repeatedly getting your ass kicked gets very old very quickly.

Exactly. The Finns accomplished their goals, Russia didn't. It's similar to how the Battle of Hoth can be viewed as a tactical victory for the Rebel Alliance, because again, they achieved all of their objectives, and the Empire didn't.
