It struck me in this page how severe Shepard's injuries and wounds must be if after all this time he still retains deep scars from them.
A bit of criticism, if you don't mind; I think that the emotional impact in the second panel could be better without Shepard speaking of the five-year-period; if the panel simply showed his expression.
But I'm not a comic writer or artist. Just my opinion.
I like the little details in this page, especially Shepard's facial features. But what I consider to be the best thing about it is the lighting. Really damn good job on the lighting.

As far as the scars go they were all pretty severe yeah but the reason they're still visible is due to a chemical reaction his exposed blood underwent while in the rejuvination chamber. The technology was still experimental at the time of him going into it and the red hue they took became one of the side effects. Besides the appearance, the wounds have fully healed. :') It's a minor detail that I wanted to keep in for aesthetics sake; but that's the canonical reasoning behind it.
Thanks for the input here! And honestly I think you're right now that I think about it.. His line does actually seem kind of redundant there now that I re-read it. It's easily changeable so I think I'll do just that to have the scene flow better. Thanks for the help.
And thank you! His expressions are fairly difficult to get right. I'm not used to drawing aged individuals so it's good to hear this. And I'm glad the lighting looks good too!
