A vast swath of newborn potential, disregarded… I appreciate Rose Quartz’s efforts. But I can only do what I can here. Someone has to be here for when a new Pearl opens her eyes for the first time.”
Finally finished Turquoise in her natural element. I had the funny thought the other night of her discovering clams for the first time.
Anyway, as the pony/hippocamp Clara May has a pearl for a cutie mark, pearl jewelry, and literally ran a pearl shop close to land for sea AND land dwellers, I figured this would be very fitting.
Turquoise is under Blue Diamond but fosters Pearls for all "elites and those deserving." She uses bubbles to create a pressurized environment, much like clams "pearl sacs", to create the pearls with bits of Quartz NOT used for Kindergardens. (A bit of googling has shown me that sand is not the typical irritant that starts the process, but I'm gonna stick with it just for the SU... Universe. lol)
She has an assistant named Periwinkle Pearl, I have to clean up several sketches because she's been a darling to draw haha
