How do you do the weathering? Also, where is the blue? I don't see any.

I used a Flat Black paint, paint along the cracks the you want weathered let it dry JUST A LITTLE BIT, then us a sponge to wipe along the crack to get the weathered look. you can also do the flat parts the same way but it's mostlyΒ trial and error. TheΒ Aqua Arctic Blue is the black area the lighting and my camera didn't pick it up that well.

If your gonna use the Strong Arm Nerf gun make sure you get all of the white paint off when your sanding it, the paint that they use is really resistant to liquids which will cause all kinda problems when you spray paint.

What about the Rough cut?

I'm sorry I meant Rough Cut, pretty much any of there new elite line of blasters. the Rough Cut is the easiest to take apart and put back together most of the internal parts are in one whole piece.

But I remember hearing that there was one thing that you couldn't take out because then it would make the Rough Cut loose its dual shot capability and fire all the darts at once

yeah the front part where the foam darts go, some people like to take that apart and take out the Air Restrictors so that the darts go farther but if you leave that alone and just paint it should be fine.

try 150-180 for all the nerf emblems, and then 220 to smooth out all the rough parts and all the white paint areas.

I like using a premier first let dry, then use the spay paint, try using electrical tape to cover up any parts that you don't want to paint then remove the tape and paint it the color you want later.

lol sure, [link] this is a link to a pic of a Rough cut opened up, the front orange barrel slides right off of the white tubes, and slides right back on, just take it off lightly sand it with 220 sandpaper, coat it with Primer then let dry, then use the spray paint of your choice.

I have got to admit this is a really cool design for the rough cut... the cross at the base of the handle is a nice touch... do you have a story behind a gun or a character who uses it???

I didn't do any internal modifications, but externally I just took it apart, sanded it, painted it with Aged Copper, Gold, and Aqua Arctic Blue, waited about 24 hours for the paint to dry then did all the weathering with flat black. I still don't have the full method to weathering down but I getting better at it.

I felt the same way, but it's real easy, try doing the nerf maverick first there's alot of mod tutorials on youtube on how to do it, it's lots of fun, you can do it!
