This has been a project nearly 6 months in the making. I've always wanted a replica of the iconic rifle from Mass Effect, but it was either pay someone to do it (prohibitively expensive) or hope for a decent 3d printed version. even this last option put the price around £170 at best, so I showed the plans to my dad to see if we could have a crack at it ourselves. He was reasonably confident so we got to work.

If Im honest, my dad did most of the frame building, mainly due to him being far better with a jigsaw than I am. Once the main construction was done, I did the shaping and the detailing, along with the painting and finishing. You can see we made a slight error early on, with the top barrel being cut too short and needing an extension. When it came to the vents, I found I couldnt get them as clean cut as I wished, ad as a result are the only part Im really not happy with. All in all though, I'm extremely happy with what we achieved. Time and effort aside, this cost me about £30 all in.
