Although StrawHat doesn't remember having combat skills, his body seems to remmber and act if someone or something was about to harm him or his friends. He's skillful with weapon "The Rod", is "ok" in thunder magic, and can summon an item called" The harvest mask". The mask is unknown to everyone, not even StrawHat knows how he summons it, the mask, when worn, changes his combat and even his weapon

All that is know about him is that he woke up on the highest point of the mountain with a spear though his leg and a sword in his gut. After stitching himself up, he made his way down to the entery way into the mountain and meet aerial. After staying there for awhile he then gets a sudden image of a "Blue flower" and tells her he has to go, so she leads him out of the ruins and made his way to the echo flower area. With this only piece of information on his past , he suspects that this is his home and lives there.
