It was close to midnight, the sky was clear and displaying millions of stars in the sky, twinkling and beautiful. You stand for the first time on the roof of the orphanage where Katy meets you staring at the night sky holding something in her hands.

“The stars are quite lovely aren't they?” Katy asked.

“They've always been there, but we never get tired of looking at them” you reply.

“You know...back when I was a little one myself I gave myself comfort that, despite how terrible things may seem here, the stars will never lose their sheen or beauty. My family, and my adoptive family would often join me as well. Even today I'm not entirely lonely, sometimes the staff comes here to the roof with me and we have a little bonfire with a side of alcohol. They're really fun, but I'm getting off topic. Newbie? I want you to have this, and be quick about” Katy said tossing you the item she was carrying.” Katy said.

You catch it and look it over.

“It's a catcher's glove? Are we playing baseball?” You ask feeling confused.

“Not precisely, more like a game of catch, you might wanna put that glove right away” Katy said.

You do as she says, and immediately catch a sight of a meteor shower streaking across the sky. As you marvel at the sight you notice and odd streak of light moving at an odd angle, in fact it looked like it was coming straight towards you.

“Alright, move a little to the left! Hurry!” Katy ordered.

You move as Katy tells you, until she finally tells you to stop.

“It's all on you now, don't let me down” Katy egged you on.

It's dropping fast, and in your direction, not one to look bad in front of your boss you make yourself ready and channel whatever baseball skills you may, or may not have.

“I got it, I got it!” You call out as the streak of light moves closer.

You realize it might be a little too high even if you raise you arm so at the last minute you quickly jump. You feel something hit your glove as well as a soft 'oof' noise as whatever you caught smacks your glove, which you will admit is better than the floor.

“Nice catch!” Katy congratulated you.

You look to your glove and see a tiny girl looking rather dazed, and shivering like crazy. Her skin was lit like a dim white dwarf, like a tiny light-bulb. The small cluster of stars on her calves, thighs, and stars shaped hair clips were glowing especially bright, as well as her hair which was rather messy and cut short to her shoulders. She wore a very light blue, silky, translucent blouse cut short to her thighs in the front and stretching to her knees from the rear.

“Hey? Hey you okay, do you need to see Rin?” You ask the tiny girl.

“She'll be fine, this wasn't the first time she's done this, this is however the first time someone actually caught her, way to show off those fast reflexes” Katy complimented you.

“S-s-s-so c-c-cold!” The little thing stuttered.

“How far did you make it this time little one?” Katy asked.

“S-s-s-stra-strato-s-s-sphere~!” The girl continued her stuttering.

“Really!? That high? that's a personal best...well what are you waiting for!? Can't you see she's cold? If you don't have any blankets then the least you can do is share some body heat” Katy scolded you.

Not knowing what else to do, you simply hold her close to your chest. You can feel her whole body shacking as you held her close.

“Right so intro wise she's as small as a fairy, but not quite, in fact she is a sort of elemental. A tiny thing made of energy who's origins can be traced to a place known as Never-Neverland, but I suppose they have a few things in common, even with Pixies too. They are called Zvezda, doesn't that just scream foreign and exotic to you!? There are some men out there crazy for foreign girls with names like that” Katy said.

You finally stop feeling her shaking and her breathing has returned normal. You stop squeezing her and glance back down to her, she sitting contently on your gloved hand smiling back at you.

“Thanks for all the help mister” she squeaked out in a soft high pitch.

“As I've said they're kind come from a realm known as Never-Never land...but they are also mostly spotted in Tethya, a sort of arctic winter Wonderland that still remains mostly un-explored. I heard they have the most lovely auroras” Katy said.

“How did she show up here?” You ask.

“Well they also enjoy traveling...are you seeing a pattern here with a lot of the Praxis children we have here?” Katy asked.

“Yeah, a lot of them seem to have this excessive need to travel, or migrate somewhere” you realize.

“It could just be coincidence, or it could be purposeful, after all the best way to expand your race is to broaden your horizons. Traveling and exploring are quintessential for a populous to expand, and spreading the word would be a real asset to introduce more possible mates and fans” Katy explained.

“Plus it's super fun to see new things!” The Zvezda cheered.

“Rightly so, now their diet consists of energy, whether it be spiritus from a male, Demonic, or holy energy from certain monsters, or even regular energy like electricity. Talk about environmentally friendly, fun fact we actually caught her sticking a fork in an electrical socket and that's how she got her breakfast this morning” Katy revealed.

“Tastes like chicken for some reason...” the tiny thing explained.

“Because of their tendency to love traveling, they are often desperate for adventuring and seeing new sights. Always keep in mind her need to sight-see as you raise her as she can often times become restless being put still for long periods of time” Katy said.

“Is that why I had to catch her?” You ask.

“Well one of the most exiting places for them, and also one of the most difficult travel spots is the cosmos. But then again who isn't dazzled by outer space at least once in their life” Katy said.

“I know right! There's so much out there, don't you think so mister!?” The Zvezda cheered.

“Hm? Of course I do, you should check out what they discovered out there, the weird planets out there would blow your mind” you ranted.

She squealed in delight as her tiny legs kicked frantically at your glove.

“Now-now back on topic, it should also be noted that these fairies can change their size to fit whatever needs and wants requires. Of course she seems pretty comfortable sitting on the palm of your hand at the moment” Katy noticed.

“So how big can she get?” You ask.

“As big as you wish her to be, or really as big as a little girl is for the most part” Katy said.

“Easy with friends?” You ask.

“Very, they are both gentle and adventurous so they are the perfect playmate for all types, especially the shy types who need a little shove to get their lives moving again. Of course they are also...” Katy began but for some reason she leaned in close and had to whisper the rest in your ear so the Zvezda couldn't hear. “They are a tad clumsy so they can lead others into trouble with them, but you know, nothing a bit of friendship and teamwork can't fix right?” Katy whispered before moving away.

“I suppose they also act the same around siblings?” You ask as you casually poke at the young girls tummy. Out of boredom or simply playing around you do not know.

“Of course they are playful and insightful, and it might be our imaginations, but they might not even be nearly as clumsy as usual around them” Katy said.

“H-huh!? What was that?” The little Fae wanted to know.

“Oh? Did I say that out loud? Silly me, I don't know what went over me...*ahem* in any case their love of travel would fit with many career opportunities that involve traveling. Guides, and explorers, and even astronauts at one point in our future. The sky's the limit, or space to be more accurate” Katy said.

You suddenly feel a change in lighting and look down to see that the young Zvezda has lost her pink, and garnered blue hair, and blue shining stars on her body, she was also emitting a soft blue glow.

“Oh! Would you look at that! She likes you!” Katy cheered.

“W-what!? Me n-no I do~n't” the little fairy bashfully replied as she clasped her cheeks to cover her blush.

“Oh~ please you're practically glowing” Katy teased.

“Gee~ am I that noticeable?” the Zvezda squealed.

"Another little fun trait is their many color changes depending on the partner...blue usually refers to humans, pink will often go to those of the demonic or beast-kin type, white for the angelic celestials, and they even have a specific purple color solely for Erumos" Katy added at the last moment.
