Description
Been a while since I've made another one of these A4 traditional drawings! I figured it was once again time to create one. I combined many concepts I've actually designed before but which were never submitted to deviantart. There's not much to explain about this drawing, since I don't really know myself what exactly it's about. It's just what I came up with. Feel free to give your interpretation!
Anyway, as with all my works, I hope you like it

Like it? I adore it! Especially the candle creature. Reminds me of 'burning the candle at both ends'. I must once again commend you on your shading technique, it is truly put to good use.

I've always wondered how anyone else would shade with a ballpointpen , I'm simply using scribbles and other random ways to get dark/light gradations and contrasts.
Anyway the candle creature was something I designed before this drawing which I simply had to add to a bigger drawing :3. I'm glad you like it!

I usually just cross-hatch to the extreme.
It's an adorable character that looks like it walked right out of Alice's world of wonderland.

I always wondered about the visual part of Alic In Wonderland. Even though the character concepts are very imaginative, to me the best thing about Alice in Wonderland, is how it is written! Just the way Lewis Carroll played with his words is amazing!

I agree! It's one of my favourite books (I've actually memorized the Jabberwocky poem). I'll bet every movie made based on it was a real treat for conceptual artists and set designers.
To add on to your last sentence: the way he played with and made up words is amazing!
