Description
An amazingly large building, countless corridors, offices and research chambers... But with no sign of life anywhere.
The place is desolate as a desert, and it looks like it's been like that for a long while. Dust has settled on every surface. Filing cabinets, desks, the sheets of paper scattered everywhere... Everything's covered with a thin layer, undisturbed for months, maybe years, but no-one knows for sure.

Something had happened here, something that caused everyone to abandon the building in a hurry. Chairs were lying on the floor, folders left open and with their contents spilled all over the desks, even full cups of -now cold- coffee could be found... There must've been so much chaos, and it lead to this bleak and gloomy scene, leaving the lab as lifeless as it is now.

Though, when you venture far enough into the building, down to the deeper parts of it, you'd be able to pick up a sound if you listen very closely. A strange, low humming, cautiously breaking the ominous silence that holds the building in its grasp. If you follow that sound, you'd find a big metal door, extremely heavy and with different sorts of identification-based locks... But it won't be locked. You'd be able to push it open with minor effort, and continue your way into the wide corridor behind it. The matt glass panels to your right show a blurry image of what lies in the chamber you're heading to, and surprisingly there's a faint light present in there, glowing a dim blue.

At last you reach a final door, all of the locks on it left open and the door itself ajar. A light push causes it to swing open and reveals the very large chamber you saw through the frosted glass. The chaos had spread here as well, paper laid everywhere, chairs were knocked over, and a single labcoat hung over a railing, abandoned by its owner.
That doesn't really get to you anymore though, as you finally lay eyes on the source of the unnatural blue light, the only functional source of light in the whole place.

Turns out there is in fact still a sign of life here.
