Jake didn’t hurt himself, because he fell first on the soft chair and then together with the mat on the floor with softened the impact again.
He is just shocked what happened. A fraction of a seconds later he will burst out into rage. Better run!

My bird does this all the time... He jumps from my shoulder to the oven handle while I'm in the kitchen, and then the dish towel slips and takes him with it. X)
