Description "You can't sink what's already sunk!" - Arizona's battle cry

____________________________________________________________________

Famously known as the ship that symbolized the USA's reason to partake in World War 2, the USS Arizona is a Pennsylvania-class battleship constructed in 1915. Despite the outbreak of World War 1 at the time, Arizona remained stateside. She participated in escorting President Woodrow Wilson to the Paris Peace Conference, was sent to Turkey to represent American interests during the Greco-Turkish War, and was finally sent to the Pacific Fleet. Completely modernized from 1929-31, Arizona participated in the US Navy's annual Fleet Problems exercises, helped survivors in the Long Beach, California earthquake, and starred in a film, Here Comes The Navy, about the romantic troubles of a sailor played by the famous American actor, Jimmy Cagney. In 1940, she and the rest of the Pacific Fleet were transferred to Pearl Harbor, to counter Japanese imperialism.

On the fateful day of December 7, 1941, Arizona was sunk by a magazine explosion after 10 Nakajima B5N "Kate" torpedo bombers attacked her. The explosion is one of the largest non-nuclear explosions ever caused. She is now a memorial to all those who died in the Attack on Pearl Harbor. On February 11, 2042, approximately 101 years after, Arizona was finally given a second chance to prove herself in combat after a simple accident...

BIO:

Despite her fiery death at the hands of the Japanese, surprisingly Arizona seems to exhibit no signs of PTSD. She has a cheerful and supportive personality and is fond of accompanying Missouri, who treats her as a little sister and who she treats as an older sister (Despite the fact that Missouri is younger while Arizona is older).

The US Navy shipgirls, both modern and WW2-era treat her like a little sister as well, which mildly annoys her. She is apparently indifferent to the Japanese shipgirls, who are aware of what they did to her on that fateful day. The same can be said for her views on the other foreign warships.

In truth, due to the Pearl Harbor attack in World War 2, Arizona harbors a deep grudge towards the Japanese shipgirls, as do some of the converted sunken shipgirls of the WW2 US Pacific Fleet. However, Arizona's grudge is greater, especially towards Kaga, Hiryu and almost all the carriers who participated in the attack on Pearl and her sinking. She hides her hatred of them very well, and only expresses it when around the other WW2-era US shipgirls who share her views (Mostly with USS Utah) or when she is not around the modern US shipgirls and the Iowa-class. Arizona is also somewhat jealous of Missouri's achievements, as the Japanese surrendered to her (And has "better looks", in her own words), but not in a hateful way, though it seems that she has a bit of a girl crush on her big sister figure and her sister ships.

If I was a betting man, I would bet that Arizona's jealous of Mo is because Mo guess to see the fall of Japan, something Arizona would have loved to see or be where it was signed.

Doesn't help that Missouri wears the surrender plaque as a badge. 😆
