A Renown-class battlecruiser who was built during the First World War as an improved version of the Revenge-class battleships, Repulse's construction was suspended during it as she would not be ready in time. It was First Sea Lord, Admiral Lord Fisher, who restarted her construction to be built and enter service quickly. Director of Naval Construction Eustace Tennyson - D'Eyncourt quickly produced a new design to meet Fisher's requirements and the builders agreed to get her finished in 15 months. They did not meet the goal, but manged to get her deployed shorlty after the Battle of Jutland. Repulse and her sister ship, Renown, were the fastest capital ships in the world upon completion.

She participated in the Second Battle of Heligoland Blight, reconstructed and improved in 1920 and 1930 and accompanied HMS Hood during the Special Service Squadron's around the world cruise in 1923-1924 amd protected international shipping during the Spanish Civil War.

She participated in the Norwegian Campaign of April–June 1940 and searched for Bismarck in 1941. Repulse escorted a troop convoy around the Cape of Good Hope from August to October 1941 and was transferred to the East Indies Command. She was assigned in November to the ill-fated Force Z which was supposed to deter Japanese aggression against British possessions in the Far East. Repulse and Prince of Wales were eventually sunk by Japanese aircraft on 10 December 1941 when they attempted to intercept landings in British Malaya. It was 101 years later, when she and Prince of Wales were called back to action once again...

BIO:

An avid reader of literature and a bit of a loner, Repulse can almost be guaranteed to be seen in the library of HMNB Portsmouth reading whatever fine literature she can find. She even has a small compartment in her rigging where she keeps books (And even wears a messenger bag filled with books in her civilian/off-duty clothes)!

She has a friendly relationship with Prince of Wales, Hood and Ark Royal and, of course, does pay heed to Wales' constant swearing (And chav-like behavior). Her relations with the foreign shipgirls are similarly cordial at best, though she does not really pay much mind to most of them. New Jersey, however, annoys her due to her military otaku nature and talkativeness.

Her love for reading is great to the point where she even reads while walking or heading to battle, only stopping if she has something to do. Her appearance somewhat intimidates the naval personnel and modern RN shipgirls because of how stern and cold she looks but she is an approachable and affable person if one talks to her.

Repulse is also a decent tactician and strategist (As she has read many military books as well) and assists occasionally in planning anti-Abyssal naval operations.

She is also a master of spear/halberd combat, and can hold her own in close-combat engagements with Abyssals. It is not advised to use her in this role as she is better suited for long-to-medium range bombardment (As with all battleship girls).
