Samus and Ridley's final fight on Planet Zebes. Or at least, this would have been the final fight if the Federation wasn't an idiot and decided to clone all of the DNA on Samus's armor.
...Eh, this is the original Ridley's final confrontation with Samus, so it works.

I looked up tutorials on how to properly shade stone, armr, and lava. I also tried something with the perspective here. I think it actually kinda works, given the context of this fight.
Also, there is a fully drawn Ridley concealed by the shadows. You can view that variant here: Final Confrontation (No Shadow)
...It looks darker on a PC, I swear!
There's also actually the door to the room, hidden behind Ridley's Wing.
I think this is one of my favorite images, regardless of the flaws.
