Description
The third of four MHA OCs I had planned. Technically, she was drawn last, but I did a small concept image to show to a few people to ask for opinions.This bio is still a work in progress.
Name: Jirukon Kesshō
Namesake: Zircon crystals, which carry the same colors as the ones growing on Jirukon herself.
Hero Name: Bijou, the Crystalline Heroine.
Hero Namesake: "Bijou" is French for "Gemstone."
Age: 15
Affiliations: U.A.
Quirk: Crystals
- Zircon Crystals of different colors (clockwise from the top: red, yellow, green, brown, blue/white), grow out of Jirukon's body. The edges of these crystals are sharp, but their size makes them better bludgeoning weapons.
- Said crystals are somewhat fragile, and can shatter easily, rendering them useless as jewelry. She can make them stronger if she wants them to be a bit more durable.
- However, taking the crystals off risk taking other things off, like skin, and maybe an ear if she's unlucky. It's why the red one grew to the size it is. As for the blue one shown in the hero costume, skin grows back. Eyes don't. And there's actually less risk of losing anything when shattering the crystal, because her hand is balled into a fist.
- Crystals reflect lasers and light-based attacks.
- These crystals aren't actually color-coded based on where they are. She just likes to keep colors separated, because it helps her learn where she lost a crystal when fighting. Additionally, these crystals aren't limited to just five colors; she can change them to various tones of their respective color. She can reach every color in the spectrum. This is purely cosmetic, though.
- Said crystals can be pulled off and used as throwing knives.
- However, the crystals don't stop growing. She can't stop them from growing; only slow down the process, or pull them off before they get too long.
- As mentioned above, pulling them off when they get too big risks taking things off with them.
- The crystals form from minerals and nutrients she consumes. She doesn't know this, so she eats a standard human diet. She's a bit malnourished, which is why she's shorter than average human beings.

Personality
Personality: Jirukon is incredibly shy. About as bad at making conversation as Izuku was at stopping himself from muttering up a storm. Not many people know her face, and she's easily recognizable thanks to the giant red crystal on her head. The reason for this is because people have constantly been pestering her about a gem or two, and can be a bit forceful about taking some. This has left her with a distaste for the selfish and entitled people.
Of course, this doesn't mean Jirukon shies away from just about everyone doesn't mean she isn't willing to open up to others. She just has to trust that person, first. When she's not being overly shy, she's a mostly curious person that simply wants to know more about other people. People like Bakugo, however tend to intimidate her, so she does her best to simply leave them alone. Neito Monoma simply annoys her. He's one of few people that doesn't intimidate Jirukon in any way.
She doesn't like having too much money. Heck, she's a runaway that lives in an abandoned construction site; she doesn't really use money, or even want money, and is more than willing to give what she doesn't need to someone else, and keep enough to buy what she needs.
Flaws: Jirukon, as mentioned earlier, is incredibly shy, and has trouble working with others. The crystal growing over her head makes it practically impossible for other people to determine her emotions or know where she's looking, so people also have a hard time conversing with her. That crystal also takes up space, making doorways and planes a bit of a chore for her. It also means she can only see the color red. No other colors. She also can't swim. She also has a habit of slipping into French when having a conversation, which causes more communications issues.
Strengths: She has an absurd amount of stamina and physical strength, mainly in her torso and neck areas because she has to hold her head and couple ten pounds of crystal upright. The crystal also serves as a fairly valuable hard hat, outright breaking anything that tries to split Jirukon's skull open. It's the most durable of the crystals growing on Jirukon's body.
Jirukon is also pretty good at mind games, despite her shyness and lack of communication skills.
Fears: Large crowds, Bakugo, the mob, villains, millionaire wannabes.
Desires: To get over her fears and be a good hero.
Likes: Her gemstones, Kirishima, video games, Red vs Blue, tortoises.
Dislikes: Her gemstones, Kirishima, pickaxes, water, people that feel they are entitled to things they aren't.
Backstory: (Work in progress)
Why she wants to be a hero: Her father was abusive to her, and she wants to bring him in. He keeps paying the police and local Heros to leave him alone, so she has no choice but to go after him personally. She also knows that she won't be anywhere near as good of a hero as All Might, but she wants to try getting as close as possible.
Her views on All Might: She sees him as the ultimate hero, and as justice personified.
Misc.:
- Her red crystal always changes shape, because the back of it constantly breaks off.
- If the red crystal is ever broken, she can see colors; she just can't associate them with the right names.
- She's not a fan of Valentine's Day.
