Taken at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center right after it opened. At that time the space hanger was still under construction, so you could only see it from the viewing decks. It has since been moved to New York.Related content

Yes. It was the space shuttle prototype. Star Trek fans petitioned NASA to name it Enterprise. It never actually went into space like the other shuttles. I'm glad I got to see it before it was moved from Virginia to New York.
