Description This is my other kitty, Loki, who normally isn't still long enough to catch doing anything cute or photo-worthy. But today he was laying in the sunshine trying to take a nap and I took some pictures of him. You'll note by the focal length that I was a small distance from him and yet I still disturbed him.

Fortunately he didn't get up and walk away until I took about ten photos. Brat.

He's an ornery little thing, but I can't deny that I love my little baby boy--he's so pretty!

I have a photo from later that didn't make it to dA that seems to embody him sulking at my photographic attention to him. LOL Ever the bratty boy he is!

Animals, what would we do without them.

Sleep more, have more room to actually work with the laptop, have less paw prints to clean up on the table....

You forgot about "go way at the drop of a hat".
Animals are more restrictive on individuals than children, and they can be quite restrictive for the first 12 to 15 years.

In that we are lucky!! My in-laws live about two blocks away and are always happy to watch the kitties while they partake of enjoying the 62" plasma TV we have in HD. My blocking point isn't them but the husband who doesn't like to spend the money...LOL

I really had a good chuckle over your last sentence.

Quite ironic actually because I have nothing to do with money in my house, my good lady looks after that area, and does a fine job. All I have to do is supply it

Ah! Looks like my Tristan! Love the play of the sunshine on his eyes! Very tricky! I find Tris very hard to photograph...I think because of his black coat. Hmmm.....

It took me a while to figure out how to get photos of Loki--the trick is to force the camera to shoot at a faster shutter speed than it meters at. Because it's metering off of the dark coat, it wants to have a longer shutter speed which just blows everything out, so I just up the shutter speed about 2 stops (it wanted to shoot at 1/15, I bumped it up to 1/60) and now I get a kitty that looks glossy and black and it makes his green eyes stand out even more too!
