Taken at the Akron Zoo - Akron, OHTook this on my way out of the zoo for the day and I usually pass on posting anything with these guys because the photos always turn out so average. But today I was in the right place at the right time to catch the misting of their exhibit and see this guy pose dramatically. I think that the misty fog even helps to camouflage some of the imperfections of the fiberglass that I shot through!

I, too, loved how the mist helped to make them really stand out. All we needed was some fireworks and it would have been like a penguin rock concert!

I think the fireworks would have ruined your shooting day, the penguins would be gone like a shot out a gun.

They really are cute! It's fun to watch them waddle around and then they swim so gracefully when they're in the water.

haha yes! they are kinda like turtles... a little slow and not too graceful on land, but in the water, they just move and almost dance in the water... it really is a lovely sight to see (too bad penguins are kind of stinky

If you ever get to the Columbus Zoo, there's a spot at the penguin exhibit where you can get literally with feet of the little guys with no glass in between! It's awesome!

LOL I have been there! I went over one weekend where it was about 95 degrees that day after first getting LOST by bunk directions. haha It helped me get this picture though! 
I do plan on coming down again in the next month or so though when the weather's cooler and enjoy the whole zoo when I'm not sweltering. Not to mention the animals tend to hide less when the sun isn't beating down on you. LOL
