Professor Goyle unveils the device which he will use to scan the Fusion Rod fragment. But since this is a comic, of course, something goes wrong, and the fragment starts shooting lasers in every direction.

The dialogue in the first panel was something I ad-libbed on the spot. Apparently, fellow Thunder Force member Samantha Grey is an incredibly terrible cook , so here's a little nod to that.

Great page - nice dialogue between them about Samantha's cookery skills - as always, looking forward to seeing where this is going

I'm glad you like it. The line kind of just came to me, and I wasn't really sure if that was something Mr. Happy would say. But it was good for a laugh so I left it in.

You've written some good funny characters so I have total confidence in you. Go with your gut. Unless Mr Happy starts kicking puppies Im not concerned.

Awww....There goes my plans for page 4.

But seriously, I do feel intimidated writing other people's characters, especially the comedic ones. My main concern is that because I am known for writing comedic characters myself that I'm expected to be able to write for any comedic character without any problem. The trouble with that is that I can't just write comedically. Typically, I just write what I feel is true to the characters, and often the humor just comes naturally. If I don't know the characters and their thoughts well enough, it's hard to write good dialogue, especially comedic dialogue. I certainly don't want to force comedic dialogue if it doesn't feel natural. That doesn't work well.

I happen to think this is the best approach. Writing for natural humor is the best way. Just look at say the great humor in the first 3 Star Wars films for C3P0. It was great stuff! Now look at the humor for them in the prequels C3P0 is forced to utter the lamest most boring infantile jokes ever...ugh. All the humor comes across as forced, low brow and stupid. Like I said go with your gut and its all gonna work out just fine.

I don't know what that means, but I'm just gonna nod my head slowly.
