Ripplekit was born to an older couple who thought they could never bare kittens, They were born in leafbare and as her parents feared all of their kits were rather weak. Ripplekit was the firstborn of the siblings and was in the best shape, while Asterkit, the runt of the litter died two days after birth and Shadekit didn't live to open her eyes. Cindercreek and Smokewhisker were worried that their living daughter would soon pass like her siblings had, but starclan seemed to have blessed them and ripplekit grew and soon became an average weight. The couple was filled with pride and love for their kitten and treated her like a princess. They told her stories of the clans and their past, how they met, everything. Ripplekit was outgoing at birth and quickly made friends with many of the other kits and younger apprentices.
apprenticeship [ 6 - 12 moons ] >
Ripplepaw was apprenticed to a tom named Wolfbelly a large intimidating cat whos bottom fangs pressed against his upper lip. Ripplepaw and the tom didn't seem as though they would be friends at first, but they got along quite well, the quite reserved tom helped keep the peppy molly relaxed for at least a while. She started to go to the nursery quite often during her free time and met a blond mollie named sunkit. She was shy and seemed to hate the idea of going outside of camp, so Ripplepaw decided it was her duty to befriend the small kitten. She slowly started to get the shekit to warm up to her and soon she gained her trust. Ripplepaw was extremely proud of herself and truly enjoyed spending time with the kitten despite the fact some of her friends would call her lame for spending so much time with a kit 6 moons younger than her. Wolfbelly started to notice ripplepaws talent in hunting and started to set his plans towards it instead of those he didn't think she was going to need as much. Ripplepaw loved to hunt, she found it helped her get rid of all her energy that was pent up. because of how often she hunted she would commonly bring back prey and give it to either Sunkits mother Goldenwing or to her parents.
warriorhood [ 12 - x ] >
Ripplepaw received the name Ripplefern as her friend sunkit became sunpaw. Ripplefern was happier than ever to be a warrior and she found the nest to be more comfortable than anything she had ever felt. She was also extremely pleased to know she could spend more time with the anxious sunpaw who she decided was her best friend, ever. Ripplefern started to talk to a molly named Peachstep and fell head over paws for the wonderful feline, though she could never work up the courage to tell her how she felt. Eventually, Ripplefern got an orange and black pelted apprentice name Blackpaw. She often took Blackpaw and Sunpaw on patrols with her and helped them both with swimming. Around this time tunnels started to sprout around the clans and Ripplefern, unknowing to it fell into a deep hole and broke her hind leg, she was able to scramble up and escape despite her being in so much pain, The medicine cat expected for it to heal properly but the expectations were proved to be wrong and her hind leg was never the same again. Moons after the injury to her leg she took Sunpaw and Blackpaw on a patrol with her, While roughhousing Sunpaw and Blackpaw fell into a tunnel, panicked Ripplefern jumped in after them into the darkness. They stayed together for a while before they decided to split up, Sunpaw would go one direction and Blackpaw and Ripplefern would go the other.
Time as an Outsider [ x - 61 moons ] >
Ripplefern and her apprentice walked for days hungry and weak, she did her best to try to sooth the toms worries, eventurally the two picked up a foul scent and were soon faced with a badger, Ripplefern was ready to attack but the badger pounced on the tom ripping him apart before she could do anything, with tears in her eyes the molly desperately attempted to claw at the badger covering its muzzle with scratches before it swung at her eye leaving her vision bloody, soon the badger decided he was fed up with his meal and was full as he wandered away, Ripplefern stayed with the torn up remains of her sweet apprentice for quite a while before she went on her way praying to all of those in starclan that she wouldnt lose her vision forever and that Blackpaw was happy with them. She soon emerged from the tunnel starving and dehydrated, but to her luck, a tom named Mack came to her rescue. the white and black patched tom took her to a cave he lived in nursing her back to health. Once she was healthy enough they became very close and Mack gave her the affectionate nickname of Ripps. Mack was thrilled by all her stories and was told her his tales from when he was a barn cat. Mack and Ripplefern soon became mates. They tried for moons and moons to have kits but Ripplefern was unable to birth healthy kittens, only having one litter with two stillborns who they named Soot and Dusty. Despite Mack doing his best to comfort the molly and help her forget about her past, she was still determined to see if sunpaw was still alive. With Mack, she traveled to the marshclan territory to see a burnt and abandoned patch of land, Devastated she sobbed into Macks fur believing her best friend to have died. Mack nudged her and promised that she was okay before they went back to their cave. They continued to live happily together until mack became ill and passed away calmly in his sleep. Heartbroken moons upon moons past as she grieved the passing of her mate finally Ripplefern decided to visit her old clan one more time. She set off in the middle of the night and traveled to marshclan. Ariving in the morning to see it was full of life with chatting cats.
