8 1\2x11Sharpie Ultra-fine and felt tip pen
3-4 hours over a couple days
tried out a hatching\stipple shading method rather than fill-in. let me know what you think...

love this one very much
because of the vertical lines the whole form seems to aspire to the top of the frame. like a phoenix spreading his wings. sorry *shame* the picture flashed in my mind, because of the symmetrie of the form.

I would suggest making the stipling and/or hatching more odvious because it seems, from this image on the computer, that the marker was going dry in some places or that you got lazy, which is not the case at all. I love all of the shapes, how they interact with each other and the negative space, and how there is a good sense of motion.

yes, and it makes me absolutely sick that it looks like that on here. in person, its one of my favorite peices... but on here, no looks cause it looks bad from a distance. glarg. thank you kindly for the comment.

yeah, i really like this. good job with the texturing. the outside lines are heavy but the insides are dotted, kinda. very good! keep up the good work!
