Once on a while rendering a clothed chick is acceptable, I do the same sometimes
Nice render, the velvet on the corset is perfect

Thanks bud! And yup, clothes is always a good thing too! Sometimes a little imagination goes along way when it comes to sexyness and what the eyes can't see

Hmm . . . didn't work. She's still overdressed.

She has an armour save of 2+ on D20 anyways, so it most likely would have deflected. Her only weakness is her -15 modifier when she is within 20 foot of a shoe shop.

A shoe shop? Does she not have enough shoes? Or is she trying to beat the Queen of the Phillippines?

Tasha has sucumb to Shopping Frenzy. You must now miss five turns while she checks out all the sale items and roll a D6. On a roll of 3 or more you will punch the crying baby in the que behind you and be forced in to combat with it's mother, resulting in you being banned form the shop
*Rolls a four* Damn it!

That's a lot of quid.
* uses his GM powers to cause a Deus Ex Machinae and the appearance of the police. * There, no more combat for Tasha. Wait there's something missing.
* Uses his GM powers once more to give tasha two black eyes. *

Thanks hun! I did the pattern on her corset without the use of diffuse maps. All the pattern is being done with Spec 2 and the Velvet channel, bumps give a weave look (closedr up) and displacements make the pattern protrude a little. I think I messed the spec up on the lace though

LOL well if so I was so being impressed with the velvet I didn't notice the lace issue

The worst thing is, it's the pose I am most proud off. Took me about half an hour to get it just how I wanted it. Those hands took forever, especialy the fingers, lol

Hehehe, yup I guess so. If you ever want to try something similair, I found putting my velvet falloff at just 2 worked best. Anything else and it just seemed to hug the edges too much.

Sweet! Are you using tiles or just working on settings for mats that come with an item?

Awesome! Can't wait too see what you come up! I need to decide what I am going to render myself today (left this one over night). I might be a naughty toad today though, and post something on Rotica. Would be a shame to waste this nice sexy outfit and bedroom setting

Well technicaly I can't post you a link here as it's an adult site. I am sure a note could sort that out though. And by the way, I could name you quite a few female vendored artists who post images on there, it's not just a man thing, lol.

No worries hun! I might get an image up on there later(I emptied my gallery a couple of weeks back as it was all really old crappy looking stuff...well, from one of my galleries anyways, lol) that I was working on last night. For some reason though I made a changed an image in a mat zone and the scene crashed out and I had not saved it with the posing work I had done, so now I've got to repose it

TLCDigitalArt In reply to toadz [2012-05-21 12:48:52 +0000 UTC]
LOl don't you absolutely hate that. The scene I was working on with your shading advice, still hasn't come together quite yet but yeah.. sighs, crashed numerous times
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
toadz In reply to TLCDigitalArt [2012-05-21 12:50:39 +0000 UTC]
It's probably because I'd had that one scene open for about two days on my machine and there had been may different clothing items coming in and out of the scene and my mat list was freaking huge! Ah well, at elast it will run quicker when I open it back up today, lol
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
TLCDigitalArt In reply to toadz [2012-05-21 12:51:52 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm does that make things worse... I was wondering why some scenes crash and other's dont?

toadz In reply to TLCDigitalArt [2012-05-21 14:08:47 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, bringing in and out lots of items leaves there mats in the scene for some reason, even once the prop has been deleted from the scene. Sometimes skipping back quite a few steps with the undo button has caused me crashes in my busier scenes. Remember, V4 with all her ++ morphs takes up 500mb of RAM alone, so once you start loading up items that are very texture heavy with very hi resolution maps it all starts adding up! Thats another reason why I try to use my own tiled mats when I can, because they can then be repeated throughout the scene but still only need one set of maps (diffuse and bump). If you have a bunch of mats in your list that aren't being used, save the scene and close it. When you re-open it you will find they have all been dropped from the list. There may be an option to simply remove any un-used to maps but I am yet to find it or be told if it exists, lol.
Another resource saver is to simply turn off items that aren't in shot, or not being worked on for the time being. The crash I had last night probably could have been avoided if I had simply turned everything off apart from the two characters and the couch I was trying to pose them on. My machine is a real beast and I still get the odd crash now and then, but usualy only when I've had a scene open for a day or two, when I've made massive changes to maps and when I've bringing in different items that I have then removed. Think of your RAM as a bin. Once it's full it's gonna burst and make a whole bunch of a mess every where...like my scene did last night . I hate reposing

That's a good tip. About saving and turning it off and on. And I usually hide those things I'm not trying a test render on... so I think I'm kinda grasping that part.

toadz In reply to TLCDigitalArt [2012-05-21 14:55:09 +0000 UTC]
lol, yep! I tend to do stuff like that from force of habbit from working on the mac. Used to take about 10-12 mins to load up V4 and apply her ++morphs. That machine was sloooooooooow! I think now though I am starting to get a little to comfy with this machine and forgeting to do things like turn stuff off to keep things moving along quickly. Even with 10GB of DDR3 Ram, it still gets full at some point!
'Medic! This machine needs more RAM, stat!'
