Do you know the sound that a whale makes? It goes "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-"

So, I drew a whale. It's a whale with human esque teeth and a feathery fin, but it's a whale nonetheless. I was hoping that I could come up with something more creative for today's prompt, but as it stands, "whale" doesn't immediately set off very many images for what to draw in my mind.* Of course, now that I think about it, I have some interesting ideas for what I could have drawn, but it's a little late for that now!

I decided to draw this at a larger scale than most of my other Inktober pieces. While the scale at which I have been drawing them allows me to fit plenty of them on a single page, it also means that I can't fit many details in each, and I want to get more detailed with my illustrations. Granted, this whale still isn't super detailed, but where would I have added them in this? I got detailed in the mouth, I suppose, but whales aren't exactly the most detailed or complicated looking creatures out there.

I'm fairly happy with this piece. I did something that's a little different for me, and that's good. It didn't come out looking too bad either, though that tail leaves alot to be desired.

*P.S. I'll thankfully be able to make up for the lack of creativity in this one with tomorrow's prompt. I have a fun idea planned for tomorrow's piece.
