"...In the red corner, we have a local legend returning to the ring to take the title of underground champion! He's lean, he's mean, and he's here to let off some steam!"

In some ways, Kaleo Henderson's life didn't change much after getting wrapped up in S.L.A.P. Taking great interest in martial arts as soon as he was able to walk, he has always strived to find a calling in life that let him get on in life by throwing hands, or feet, or whatever part of the body would hit hardest. Kaleo was never afraid of Honolulu's dingier alleys and rough miscreant spots - if anything, they were good places to test his skills once he got good enough.

In that sense, it was only natural that his next step after being turned into a half-steam-powered punching machine was to make a living in underground fighting rings. The law certainly didn't give him many better options, and he doesn't hate the attention that he grabs with his moves. Throwing super-charged rocket punches in the ring and performing high-flying tricks with those rocket soles has a visceral novelty to it for the viewer, and plenty of fighters have been eager to match his flashy showmanship in the field.

Here's hoping he doesn't perform a flying kick too close to the sun.

The second cyborg is done! Steampunch is a pretty old concept of mine, and he's gone through a fair number of changes over the years... at least in my brain. He's been fun to iterate upon.

Whenever/If-ever I start animating more, I'd love to fully realize some of his high-flying rocket fighting. Of course, that's a fair bit down the line. For now, I'm happy with simply being able to draw him.

I hope you like him as much as I do!
