"Well... shoot."

I was feeling a hankering recently to revisit an old character design idea I had way back and only did so much development for. Meet Serena, the cyborg desperado who's packing heat at all times, whether she likes it or not.

The main idea centered around thinking "What if someone could whip out the old finger guns and use said finger guns... well, as actual guns?" I saw this as the logical direction to take it at the time.

Something nice about drawing this was that I was able to tackle an older design and see how my improvements in art since then have allowed me to be more thoughtful about how I design stuff and how different parts fit together. It's good to take a moment to tackle an old idea again to get a sense of how your art making has changed!

Hopefully I'll have more progress on this one to show in the coming days.
