I checked BestBuy.

>International Shipping
>You may ship an order to these countries: U.S., Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, or an FPO or APO address.

But not to Japan...
Sometimes you guys in US are lucky, as some anime DVDs are released in cheaper price, but including additional English voice over.
Anime DVDs of initial JP releases are usually missing English voices, which I like to listen to and compare with JP voices.

where the heck are you!? the DVD has these features: English 2.0, English 5.1, Japanese 2.0, Japanese 5.1. it's awesome!

The country of Sushi. When I was on the way home yesterday, I saw two samurais fight with their swords.

You know, JP version DVD box cost 100USD (original price 130USD!) without Eng dub, and release date is Jan. 2008.

You are taking Japanese class in your school? That's great. If you have any questions you can ask me. I will ask question about English to you (^o^)

yep! wait...have you played ace combat six? so far, I've only learned the basics in Japanese. Iwas kinda struggling for a bit. I'll help you with english. (english is a pain in the butt to learn and speak well, trust me....i'm taking english 12...)

Tom107 In reply to razgrizflight [2007-08-27 14:18:20 +0000 UTC]

>have you played ace combat six?
Of course not - its release is in November even in Japan(I remember so).
I imagine you read my comment as "AC6 is fun, isn't it?" but I wrote "I'm looking forward to (obtaining) AC6, aren't you?" well, it's OK, good luck for your study.

>is a pain in the butt
is that mean "very tough?"

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

razgrizflight In reply to Tom107 [2007-08-27 15:14:54 +0000 UTC]

yes. it's slang. well, sort of. used in "MY GOD! that level is a pain in the butt to beat!" meaning, very tough. Ace combat six looks excellent! hey, how would you say sailing in nihongo?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Tom107 In reply to razgrizflight [2007-08-27 15:52:34 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for your explanation!

>sailing
*Touring ocean on boat: θˆͺζ΅· Kou-kai
"have a nice boat trip!" = Yoi Koukai Wo!γ€€
*Driving sail-ship: εΈ†θ΅° Han-sou

>the verb sailing
θˆͺ桷 する
(kou-kai suru) is OK.

>"I went sailing for eight days."
But for hobby sailing, katakana-word sounds more natural, like
γ‚»γƒΌγƒͺングに八ζ—₯ι–“θ‘ŒγγΎγ—γŸγ€‚
(SEHRINGU ni youka-kan iki-mashita)
Go sailing = SEHRINGU ni iku.

Morgan (Falken), X-02, Mave Yukikaze and other Anime fighters are all followers of YF/VF-19 (That forward-swept wing plane).
YF-19 is the first forward-swept winged fighter plane that took part as lead character (I mean, mecha) in Anime history.

So Macross inspired Ace Combat?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dagger-A09 In reply to SideshowBud [2007-08-06 00:46:26 +0000 UTC]

I'll bet you it did. I think Macross has been around longer than Ace Combat... that, and there are quite a few similarities.
