I like red pandas. Well, everyone likes red pandas, but I like 'em for these reasons. Number one: they are cute. Number two: they are fluffy. Number three: they are bigger than Krishna's dog. Number four: they are a vertebrate, and possess many mammalian features such as external pinnae, the zygomatic arch, the single bone of the lower jaw - the dentary - and its corresponding joint with the squamosal, and the extensive filamentous integument. What I like most of all though about this animal is that it's not bloody microscopic! I am so done with microscopic organisms both past and present; if you don't have a spine then can you really be considered alive at all? Absolutely not I say, no matter how clever the octopus makes you think it is. Trust me I'm a palaeobiolololgist.
