Description
This is dedicated to one of my long time very good friends, . We go back along way's net wise, since our UT clanning days. He's preety much the reason,I came to da(from constant nagging lol j/kAnd it's been a great expeirence, for the most so far. So he asked for a wallpaper, and i'm here to deliver. If you have'nt seen his work, your missing out.
He's one hell of a photographer.Check him out.*kilgore-trout
I took into consideration from the requests to see something new from me, besides the same old abstract shapes, and even I was very burnt on it...anyways I just wanted to do something with my old style, and bring in some of my new style as well. This scene has been in my head for about a year now, and I was just being to lazy to take the time to do it. I'll be modeling much more from here on out...I love to do it, just I hate the long render times lol. But its always worth it....and it's alot more time consuming and more involving, but thats what its all about when you invision something.
Its time to get to back to the reason I started messing with the 3d in the first place, and get that feeling back. And this still is'nt the image I was telling you all about....that will be in a week or two, or hell even a year if it takes that long....but it's looking sharp.

Conclusion:I really enjoyed making this(I should of optimized more/live and learn).I really did'nt enjoy the unbelievable render time. But to me it was worth the wait, and I hope Kilgore and the rest of you enjoy it as much as I do.
Nuff.

Been a while tonare.
I think that this piece has a sense of Vertigo and temporal displacement. I really enjoy your work although I am having trouble making my own.
I'M BACK!!

hey man 15 volumetric lights + radioisity + 4x4 antialiasing isn't a very good combination if you want a small render time : )
Anyway nice work here, very good depth, I would prefer if you had used a diifferent material for the volumetric lights and a different color but that's ok.
The image itself is very nicely made : ) good job

mmm honestly .. you've done better dude:
the concept is really good..the idea is awesome.. but I don't really like the execution.
I have absolutly no clue how you make smoke in C4D . so I really like what you've done.. but I think it's kinda
weird shaped.. much clouds in the center . very few on the edges.. the clouds look good .. but they look like they have just been slammed upon the piece.
they could use some more color too.. in fact the whole thing could use some more colors.. I like desaturated colors but I don't like all gray colors..
those blue lights are really sweet tho.
I really love those shapes in the center.. great textures . and the technical looking tunnel looks great.
amazing detail.. great modeling.. superb !
and then there is the bg .. sorry but I really don't like it.. in my opinion it would have been way more beautifull with just a plain dark background.
this way it would great a real tunnel.. I think you would really have the feeling ur inside the thing.. ur inside something real.. now it's just a great render..
GREAT but still to obvious a render.. too bad.
those little light dots are a nice touch.. good detail .. maybe you could have added some lightdust too..
now I'm just wondering ... am I just dirty minded or does those things really look like sperm...
would be a great concept.. technical seemen..
anyway .. I really like the concept and the idea behind it.. maybe you should have perfected it a little more a PS.
but who am I to say.
good work *claps*

OH yeh thats awesome. I love pieces like this one when you are looking into the image or down. hmmz with that sort of depth. You know what I mean.
Can't get enough of that you know
I get a technical feel mixed with an abstract feeling form this. and it goes well together!
I till my hands start to bleed... lol jk
great work and a little bit diffrent from what you usally do. that I like

just a suggestion you should seriously consider ( as i tested it out myself in photoshop using your image [ no im not gonna post/ do anything hehe ] )
:
give the image a colour balance , or use the "Variations" in photoshop to give the image more colour
then select the image , and duplicate the layer, radial blur it ( pointing the blur direction to the light source ) and set the "Fill" opacity down to about 70% or watever looks right ,
it would look great if you flip the image upside down ( making it look asif the camera is looking up , instead of down )
final touch > use the curves to darken the image.
if you want to see my version just PM and ile upload somewhere.
remember , this is ONLY and ONLY a suggestion and your images are 100% YOURS, i wont do ANYTHING with them...
im just trying to suggest on how this image could improve , because it has so much potential!

Thanks for the comment man...not to many ppl around venture outside of there style....you learn a style and you go with what works, but i've never had a prob with changing up at will...this is just da abstract heaven, and thats what I chose to show here.
Take care bro.
