Colvin is a... strange case. He's never quite impolite, and he's fine attending gatherings and social events, talking to people, so on,so on. He's actually know for putting on tours around the forest his house is at the edge off, and generally being fairly hospitable.

However, the man has a blunt nature, and his interest in the darker side of things often scares people away from getting to close. More often than not people will attempt to get close to him, come over and quickly be deterred by his skull collection, or library of the arcane arts, or so on. Backstory:

He was brought up pretty isolated in a great manor house in a little English town, where he lived for quite a few years. His life was relatively uneventful up until the age of twenty - he did ok in school and moved out, living alone peacefully. However, one day he chanced upon a occult market stall at a fair, and become OBSESSED with to type of items he sent.
He focused on studying those darker arts - of course, never actually mastering any magics. He moved to a quieter town for his studies, and took in two orphans to aid in sustaining his jobs in return for his house and shelter. The entire stange family has very happily remained in Maple Bay since.
