I.wanted.to.do.these.for.so.long. I’ve been working them on them on and off in free minutes in between. For MONTHS.
Tales of Zestiria linearts! Tales of Zestiria GIVES ME LIFE. Have I mentioned that today? Aka Tales of Sailor Super Saiyajin Sorey the actual Eevee gijinka who is too pure for this world, and his merry sentai team of friendly elemental spirits who fight evil in very tight and very silly looking costumes (I mean, get real, combat stilettos!? WHY!?). How is this not awesome. The accompanying manga and anime adaptations are so beautifully animated/drawn that it makes my heart melt (less happy about the story changes, though), and I could cry for ages about the entire incredibly likeable cast of characters. That being said, I haven’t had that much fun with a JRPG for a long time, and I don’t fangirl THAT HARD about anything very often. New life goal: create something that gives people the feels that I have about this game.

As usual, I ever so slightly de-anime-d the characters. You’ll never believe how long the linearts took me. And I even cheated and traced some of the patterns in their clothing to speed up the process, argh… (Lailah, how is your dress even real)
Good news is that I’m ridiculously proud of these linearts. They’re also very clean for my standarts. I’m seriously thinking about adding Dezel and (since Berseria is just around the corner) Laphicet and Eizen to the bunch as well to have all playable Seraphim/Malakim covered, heavens help me…
THERE WILL BE COLOUR. I’m just not sure yet whether I’ll go for digital cel shading, shining traditional drawing ink, or both. There will also be elemental magic. Which you mostly can’t see yet.

100% Photoshop. Zaveid got “finished” just yesterday night, I lack sleep, I have a headache and I’m genuinely afraid of next week and life in general, so chances are that I’ll hate these linearts the very moment when I can think straight again. But we’ll see about that.

Hab aufgehört zu zählen. Echt. Aber ich weiß noch, dass ich einen Tag auf dem Comicstammtisch in Essen an Lailahs Haaren saß und 2 Stunden später immer noch lange nicht fertig war :,D.
Ich habe immer so ab und an (alle paar Tage) zwischen 30 Minuten und wenigen Stunden an diesen Dingern gesessen, seit… die Dateiinformation sagt Anfang November. Okay.

Mit was für nem digitalen Gerät bist du denn unterwegs, um auf ner Con zu zeichnen?
Ich hab neulich dieses tolle Teil gesehen, das wie ein Cintiq aussieht, aber quasi ein kleines eigenes Tablet ist. Das fand ich toll!

Ist gar keine Con, nur ein zwangloser und unprofessioneller Stammtisch :3. Ich hab ein Wacom Intuos Pro 5 und ein MacBook Air, die auch tatsächlich zusammen in meine neue Laptoptasche passen, die mir die RUB Research School geschenkt hat

Wo genau wohnst du denn?
Das Ruhrgebiet ist bekanntlich eine einzige Großstadt, deswegen kann man sich hier eigentlich aussuchen, welchen Stammtisch man besuchen will. Aktiv besuche ich in unregelmäßigen Abständen eben diesen einen in Essen.

Ich kenn hier leider nicht mal wen, der es nur zum Spaß tut. Wobei einer meiner DSA Mitspieler letzte Woche entschieden hat, zeichnen zu lernen. Mal sehen, was daraus wird, bisher hat er seine tägliche Zeichenübung durchgehalten!
