Im not the fondest of AUs where Deku becomes a villain but after some thought I had an idea that I actually was quite fond of.

In Izukus apartment complex a man with a nasty quirk was failing to pay rent. He was on the brink of eviction. To retaliate and ensure his stay at the complex he threatened the landlord with his quirk but when the landlord stood his ground he held different people who lived in the complex as well, hostage.

Izukus mom, happened to be one of those hostages and died before a pro hero could arrive on scene. Izuku mourned, his father was out of reach and was allowed to live in the Bakugo household.

The sludge villain incident, would not occur since Katsuki becoming better friends with Izuku and him hanging with Izuku rather than his old buddies.

Katsuki became nicer to Izuku, while still not liking him, he felt horrible for him. Katsuki would still apply to U.A. but Izuku however would no longer have any desire to.

They would talk back and forth and eventually Izuku would learn that pro heroes actually get paid to do their job. Something he never knew beforehand.

"He was paid to save lives and yet he still failed to save my moms"

Izuku felt pain, he didnt know where to direct it to, so he directed it towards the pro heroes. He hated them for saving people for money. He hated them for not being able to save lives theu were paid to do. He hated them.. for not being like All Might.

All Might, to him, was the only real hero. While he had doubts for a short while about his legitimacy he knew in his heart All Might was nothing but a true hero.

One day, while walking home from a job he applied to, he was attacked by muggers. They threatened to kill him and mocked him and when they took note of him not fighting them back with a quirk, they realized he was quirkless.

"Go on and cry out for a precious pro hero to save you kid. It aint happening."

Izuku responded, enraged by the remark-

"I'd rather die than be saved by a false hero!! They arent heroes, they're fakes who do nothing but save people for money!"

The muggers grinned but before they could take Izukus life, and his wallet, a knife struck the one holding Izuku.

The man flinched and loosened his grip on Izuku who then struck the mugger with a punch.

"Who threw that?!"

Suddenly a slurping soumd emerged from where the knife landed, and the mugger couldnt move anymore. The other mugger began to freak out and panic before he was cut down by a blade.

Thats when Izuku saw him.

Stain.

Stain saved Izuku from those muggers, and Izuku right away knew he was no pro hero. Stain told him, he liked the way he thought, that they were one and the same. He shared his beliefs with Izuku and before he knew it, Izuku had yet another idol.

Right then and there Izuku asked to be trained by Stain, as he wanted to carry out those same ideals.

"What I'm doing is as dangerous as being a pro hero, you could get killed."

Izuku knew that and responded

"I refuse to die at the hands of a pro hero, because the only hero thats allowed to kill me is the one true hero. All Might"

With that Stain took him under his wing, and his relationship with the Bakugo family began to crumble.

Izuku became Stains apprentice, and stayed by his side to purge the world of false heroes.
