beautiful, can you get terragen for a mac or something like it?, Its a wallpaper already, what would it look like if the sun was behind the clouds with faded rays hitting the rocks, would it not work better...

In advance; sorry for all the questions asked, If you can find the time please awnser them for me.
Have you registered for the full version;
If yes, is it benefecial (cant spell it)?
If no, will you?
Terragen, only creates terrain, so do you use photoshop to colour in?
Are there any plugins for terragin for the mac that you can reccomend please?

Okay...here goes.
1) I only use the demo version, didn't wanna spend all that $$ at first, and unless you're working for huge, print quality renders, its not really necessary. Also, terragen 2 is coming out in possibly a few weeks, so I'm just gonna wait for that. It's really up to you whether you want it or not, the only real benefit is render size.
2) Terragen does not only creat terrains. You can, using the "Surface Mapping" dialogue, color the terrains yourself, again, check out the [link] site for tutorials, or Ashundar.com (a great terragen community)
3) Plugins for the mac version are scarce, but there are a few here [link] and there may be some on the Planetside site. So far I only have the SO Pack Overlay one, and its pretty good.
Hope i could help! Lemme know if you have more questions!

Have you used a program called blender, your terragen pictures are very goof, but you are able to make terrain in this free 3d program which rivals maya....
I suppose that you can only add water and atmosphere through plugins but I think it would enhance your work (although it is amazing already)

I've tried blender, but honestly i like terragen better. Blender is a decent 3d program (though I wouldn't say it rivals Maya) but it is more for 3D modeling than terrain creation I believe.

Supposedly I'll try and make this my last question, How do you texture your work, I have a render in blender ( a frog ) which needs texturing but not sure how to go about it, similiarly my terragen pictures seem devoid of life, You seem to manipulate photo's into terragen (sorry if im wrong) just asking.....

No, this is just regular Terragen right here. The texturing I believe you are referring to is just from Terragen's Surface Mapping Capabilities which you can learn more about in those tutorials I linked you to. I have been experimenting recently with manipping pics into my terragen as textures for added realism etc., but haven't actually submitted anything to dA that included that technique (yet )

I like it, especially the sun rays. I think you should have made the mountains continue on for longer, because at the moment, they end very sudden.. still great work man

yea ive done that but the trial version only goes to 513x513 and im WAY too cheap to pay $99 for the registration maybe i just havta render some smaller views and ps them into the horizon...that would be hard though...and im a slacker...

Yeah I've got the trail too.. look at my Image called.. Space:Incoming, ok, that loks like the whole world, and that you'd need a map size way above that capable of terragen, but all i did was, make the 513X513 map, and set the generate terrain size to be quite low, that way if you go close, it looks like there are loads of mountains, and because there are no roads, builings, etc.. there is no way for the viewer to know what scale it is.. I know i did not word that too well, but if you dont understand, ask again, and i'll explain..

Beautiful. I love the colors, and just about everything. I donβt like the sharp contrast between water and land though, try fixing that in post or something. This is truly beautiful though.
