Description Did this a few weeks ago, my first attempt @ terraspace after cleaning up the drool from looking @ alyn and sirgerg's stuff...

this took a RIDICULOUS amount of time, something like 9 hours spread over a week...and something like 150 layers (at least)

Keep in mind that this is my first try and I am therefore open to ANY criticisms

I had the biggest trouble trying to blend the sky into the space, as its also one of my first
terragen renders i dont know how good it is...

please comment and try and give any knowledge you can!!!

Anyway, without futher adieu I give you, "Celeste"

hey, thankx a lot for the comments!

yea, this is relatively old but im havin another go @ this terraspace thing right now...itll be a bit of a while till its done but i think its looking like a big improvement....

i'll look into the world machine thing (does it work for mac?), that terragen was actually the second terragen render i had ever made, so i just stuck a quick snow surface map on it, and was promptly awed by my amazing skillz as a terragenner ( ) and went with it...lol....

thankx again for the comments man (or woman, or asexual deviant )

I dont know, theres a link, go have a looksee...
It's really hard to use at first, but once you find out a few simple things it's really simple to use!
It creates much better terrains then terragen, which is interesting, because thats a large part of what tg's for!

One thing that could look better is more atmosphere, read `alyn s terraspace tutorial at his site for his ways, but heres a quick little one I found.

In photoshop, just duplicate the terrain layer, stick the copy behind, put it up so it's poking out from under the original and put a hefty gaussan blur on it, you can mess with colours and stuff with ctrl + b or something, lots of fun.
alyns ones are a lot more complicated, but probably more rewarding.
great first effort, it usually pays to do something a little more simple for a first try, it's almost a bit over busy though, maybe a fair bit less stars, and a few smaller planets dotted around the background (you can just duplicate ones you already made, nobody will notice )
good luck!

honestly spacescapes are some of my favorite artworks, you did a pretty good job for a first timer. the only thing i would say is the asteroids/meteors/whatever the name is, they look a bit out of focus and the terrain looks really grainy, other than that excellent job!!!! truely i love it
