Description I actually wanted them to have black cables or something, rather than ropes, but I don't have the knowhow to create brand new models to mod. So I went with regular rope instead. It seems to have worked out okay. Except for Samus that is. ^_^

Have you ever considered a simple reskin on the rope on photoshop? If this is XNALara you use, finding the files, altering them and adding them back to the game is quite easy... By renaming them you'll be able to keep the original rope as well

Holy crap! Alyxcaptor! What are you doing in my humble gallery. I'm a big admirer of your stuff (and long-time lurker). Your galleries provided inspiration for me to start using XNALara.

Anyways, enough starry eyes. I haven't some that because I've actually not known where to start. But you've pointed me in the right direction now so I'll probably give it a go. Thanks for the advice.

Humble gallery?! More like badass gallery!

If you have photoshop the easiest way (if it still is the same format, as it's been a long time since I used XNA) is to find the model folder in the program, copy the folder and open it up to see what you've got and then edit away. Save your changed files, rename your copied folder (is. Lara_wetsuit to Lara_wetsuit_spiderweb) and add it back into your models folder in XNA.

That way you SHOULD have both the original still and your new custom skin.

Let me know if it works

You've been busy!Β Β

Have really been enjoying (hope that is the proper term..hehe) the "gremlins" one, and like this robot series too.Β  Always enjoy those scenes where robots decide to act out and go after a cute damsel.Β  She definitely fits the bill here.Β  Β Β  Great work!

Glad you like them! I'm sure to revisit both concepts at some point.

Nice scene. About the mods, what program you use? If is xnalara I can do something about the black -or multicolor if you want- ropes. Nothing professional but I'll want to help you since you do awesome works.

Thanks! And as for the program, it is XNALARA. I'd be very thankful if this was something you could help with. I wanted the ropes to feel more like cables. Which is why I was imagining them as black. How would you go about doing this then?

Well, is finished:Β sta.sh/02gfpjnklms2

As alyxcaptor say to you, a simple retexture makes the black cables, but, since I'm a little obsessive, I do my best to making look shiny and metallic following this tutorial:Β moogleoutfitters.deviantart.co…

In other things, I don't know want model of rope you use so I use the pop99pop rope model that I had: pop99pop.deviantart.com/art/Ro… , but maybe between the idea of alyxcaptor and the tutorial of moogleoutfitters, you can do your own mod. Anyway, I hope that the model helps you.

Thanks a bunch! I actually use a slightly modified version model called rope_dx01 (I think). But imma check this out and if not, thanks for the link to the tutorial.
