Description
Stimson's python (Antaresia stimsoni) is a python species native to Australia. It grows up to 1 metre in length.

It typically inhabits dry inland habitats, especially rocky areas, but can also be found in Eucalyptus forests, shrublands, and in desert regions. However, it tends to avoid open or flat areas. It feeds on small mammals, reptiles and amphibians, which it asphyxiates to death by constriction. Like other snakes, it can survive for several months without food.

The female lays 7-10 eggs, which she incubates.
