Karl the Hedgehog on a hoverboard. 'nuff said. "BDP" is "Birthday Present."Yeah, so this was for 's birthday. He was one of the first buds of mine here on DA, so I had to do something!
Heck, it feels like a while since I did a "Riders" pic! I know I haven't posted anything for a while, but I was trying to get some animation done. But that didn't stop me from doodling! Dag-friggin-nabbit!
So it's not my best. It was a rushed b-day pic. I was trying to do that whole Anime thingy where they pull down the eyelid and stick out their tongue, but it's a little hard with "hedgies!"

I thought it was about time I came back to the whole "Riders" thing. It's actually good practice for perspectives! Makes you think, but once you get the lineart done, it's a cinch!

Frankly, I'm flattered by the comment. But I find that shading really makes the biggest difference. If you can picture the general shape of an object and how light would hit it, you can usually nail the effect. Though it does take practice, just like everything else in this friggin' world...
