Description
Cream the Rabbit is one of the recurring characters of the “Sonic the Hedgehog” franchise. She is the daughter of Vanilla the Rabbit, the best friend of her Chao companion, Cheese and the best friend of Amy Rose.

What I like about her is how she was a pretty good character following her debut in “Sonic Advance 2” and being one of the most likeable characters as a result of her sweet nature and nice personality where she cares for the other characters, particularly when she looks up to Sonic as a brother and Amy as her sister. She’s very polite to everyone which is why Vanilla had taught her good manners. Her main ability is flight by flapping her ears and although she couldn’t go any higher than Tails, but she flies faster and can quickly and easily cover lots of ground. By the way, while she’s around 6 years old, Cream is pretty badass enough where she is shown to be surprisingly strong. One example of this shows Cream lifting her mother away to safety when the victims of the virus ravage the village in Issue #18 of the IDW Sonic comic series. Even though Cheese fights for her, Cream actually fought in “Sonic X” where she fought Emerl.

Moving onto the negative things. Cream wasn’t well-received by fans since her debut in “Sonic Advance 2”. While Rebecca Honig’s take for Cream is pretty good, it can be a bit annoying sometimes. But it improved in later games. Often, she hardly does anything where she doesn’t fight her enemies and uses her Chao friend, Cheese, to fight for her – though it’s understandable why Cream couldn’t fight enemies because attacking enemies herself would ruin her image as a sweet and innocent girl, but she did fight Emerl and was able to battle enemies as part of Team Rose. Another negative thing is that Cream was mostly left out from newer Sonic games as SEGA would choose to ignore her or have her make appearances in spinoff games and mere cameos. But she made a return to the games in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 as one of the judges.
In conclusion, while she wasn’t a popular character to begin with, Cream is still favoured for her sweet nature and the loyal sidekick for Amy Rose.
