Description
My first experience of making digital drawing. It is incomplete, but I will inevitably make bigger, better, more detailed and more dramatic, I swear.At least, I learned basics of how to make digital arts. Remember: apply basecolors and only then draw some details!

Tr01ka, you should finish this picture it has a very good potential to become one of your best. You realy need to tell me how you learned that. I want to do digital drawing too, but i have no idea yet how to get the right position of the light and the shadows. Thats all digital drawing is about.

I used this tutorial. For light and shadow, there are two tips: first, remember that you're drawing three-dimensional thing. Second, draw the lightsource somewhere on picture. It really helps.

Well, neither I am skilled digital painter.
One of two way I know is drawing pencil work (as you do) and then making lineart in Photoshop, using Pen tool. Second is - drawing very, very quick sketch, then applying main masses of basecolor and finally making details (best done in Corel Painter). There are lots of tutorials here on DA and in the net as well.

If there is war, it is better to learn how to have fun of it, than to suffer from it. I know that war in real world is horrendous thing, but this makes war so great.

The name of The Major isn't listed in manga at all; fans adopted name "Maximillian Montana" for him. I've heard that in earlier works of Kouta Hirano, there was prototype of The Major, named Max.

First try? Dude... This is just amazing!
I like how you successfully capture Flip's personality as a soldier who is somehow fierce and brave, and at the same time, has an empathetic personality (the gaze gives me that impression)
So this is Incomplete? I would love to see how this picture will come alive when its complete! Man, when people draw humanised HTFs, this is what I expect, not those "Cliche'd Jap style pose thingy," or "His so called evil personality only."
I recommend this one to get faved!
