Gekido City - the local shopping district - around lunch timeMiku: ... and I said we're going that away!
(Pointing at the local grocer who was having a special on leeks that day).
Puni: I wanna go that way!
(Pointing at a small park on the other side of the street).
This had been going on for awhile now and by this point a small crowd was gathering
around Miku, Neru and Puni. After all the sight of a famous teen idol arguing with a three
year old isn't something that you see everyday and the two were being quite loud at this
point, especially Miku.
Neru: It won't kill us to go over to the park for awhile Miku ...
Miku: You're not helping!
Neru: Neither are you ...
Puni: PARK NOW!
Miku: NO! Shop first, park after!
Puni: NO! Me go park now!
Miku: NO! You no go park now!
Neru: (In a disinterested tone). Will you two stop already?
The three of them were here because Miku wanted to go to the local grocers to take
advantage of their special deal on leeks, but on Meiko's insistence, she had to take Puni
her young cousin along, as Meiko felt it would be a good excuse to get both of them out
of the house for awhile whilst she took care of the vacuuming. After all, Miku as far as
Meiko was concerned, was a dead loss where housekeeping was concerned and Puni
was much too young to be of any help.
Neru was just swept up in events as she was sent packing with the Hatsune cousins
when she turned up at Miku's house to return some CDs. So the three of them came
down to the shopping district and enjoyed a lunch at the local MacDonalds. It was after
they left the fast food joint that the current disagreement arose.
Neru: It's a nice day anyway, so let her play on the monkey bars for about a half
hour. It might even wear her out so we can get some peace afterwards.
Miku: That's not the point here. I'm her 'sempai' and she's got to listen to what I
say. She has got to learn to respect 'authority'!
Neru gives Miku a very dubious glance.
Neru: I can see that you're going to be setting a really good example for the little one ...
Miku: And you are?
Neru: Don't make me want to hurt you ...
Miku: HA! My point exactly!
Puni: PARK NOW!
Miku: NO! SHOP FIRST!
It was a hot sunny day and around the corner, Officer Misato had decided to drop by the
shopping district to pick up something cold to drink before resuming his neighborhood
patrol. As he left the small shop selling cold sodas he couldn't help but notice the small
crowd gathering near his parked patrol car so he wandered over to find out what was
going on.
Neru: (Tapping Miku on the shoulders). Eh ... Miku, you better lower your voice ...
Miku: Don't interupt! I SAID WE'RE GOING THAT-A-WAY!
Puni: I WANNA GO THAT-A-WAY!
Neru watching Officer Masato coming closer taps Miku on the shoulders with greater
urgency.
Miku: Cut that out Neru, Puni may be too young for me to hit but you aren't!
Officer Misato: What's going on here ladies?
Miku: (Not even turning around to see who was talking). Shut up, mind your own
business! I'm not in the mood!
Neru grins awkwardly at Officer Misato whilst trying to disappear into the wall; prudently
deciding to say nothing.
Officer Misato taps lightly on Miku's shoulders to get her attention, he didn't want to
cause a scene as it was obviously only a minor disagreement which could be easily
sorted out; or so he thought.
Miku: PISS OFF NERU!
Neru: (From somewhere behind Officer Misato). That wasn't me Miku ...
Puni: ME GO PARK NOW!
Miku: YOU GO WHERE I GO BECAUSE I'M OLDER THAN YOU!
Puni: ME DON'T WANNA GO THERE - ME WANNA GO THERE!
Miku: LISTEN PIPSQUEAK, WE'RE GOING TO THE SHOP NOW ... OR ELSE!
Officer Misato: Ma'am you need to calm down ...
Miku: STFU! ... (turns around to see Officer Misato towering calmly over her) ...
OH ...
Officer Misato: OK, what's going on here? ... It's you again isn't it Hatsune-san?
Neru spots two familiar faces behind the small crowd that had gathered around and
realizing that she probably needed to help Miku out she yells out to them.
Neru: Chibi IA, Chibi Gumi get over here!
The two chibis were in the shopping district for some cold sodas as well as to visit one of
the local manga retailers. They had noticed the small crowd gathered here and out of
curiosity had wandered over to see what was going on.
Chibi Gumi: What's going on Neru? Did you hurt someone?
Neru: No I did not! But it's a good thing you two are here. Help me watch Puni
here whilst I sort out Miku before she gets arrested, OK?
Chibi IA: *shrugs* Yeah OK, but don't take too long. It's hot out here, we want to
cool off at the manga store.
Neru: This shouldn't take long, just watch her for us for a bit, thanks!
Puni: ME WANNA GO TO PARK!
Chibi IA: We can't go anywhere until your cousin finishes talking to the
policeman.
Puni: ME WANNA GO TO PARK NOW!
Chibi IA: Did you hear what I just said kid?
Puni: ME WANNA GO TO PARK NOW!
Chibi IA: Look I'm older than you, Neru told us to look after you so you need to
do what we say. You got that? So we're staying right here until your cousin is finished
with whatever she's doing over there.
Chibi Gumi: And what will we do if she gets arrested?
Chibi IA: We'll worry about that if it comes to that, but help me out with this kid.
If she runs across the road now that won't be good for either of us.
Chibi Gumi: Hang on - you agreed to look after her, not me. I'm going to the
manga store. It's too hot out here.
Chibi IA: Wait one second there Ms. Smartie Pants, you're going to be here as
long as I have to be here. After all, you're the one that headed over here first ...
Puni: ME WANNA GO TO PARK NOW!
Chibi Gumi: ME WANNA GO TO THE MANGA STORE ... NOW! (Grinning).
Chibi IA glares very hard first at Chibi Gumi then at Puni.
Chibi Gumi: MANGA STORE!
Puni: PARK!
Chibi IA: (Taking a deep breath). NEITHER OF YOU ARE GOING ANYWHERE -
DO YOU HEAR ME? WE'RE GOING TO STAND RIGHT HERE. RIGHT AT THIS SPOT.
EVEN TILL THE SUN GOES DOWN - YOU GOT THAT? DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN IT IN
SWAHILI? AND BEFORE YOU TWO EVEN ASK WHY, IT'S BECAUSE I SAY SO AND
THAT'S BECAUSE I'M SMART AND YOU'RE NOT - YOU GOT THAT TOO?
Puni: ME WANNA GO TO PARK NOW!
Chibi Gumi: FYI, Chibi IA, now everyone's looking at us. Well more specifically
you, but whatever.
Puni: PARK NOW!
Chibi Gumi suddenly has a light bulb moment ...
Chibi Gumi: You're smart and I'm not right?
Chibi IA: That should be evident to everyone but a retard like you.
Puni: ME WANNA GO TO PARK NOW!
Chibi Gumi: In that case, how are you going to resolve this conundrum?
Chibi IA: Watch and learn Philistine ...
Puni: ME WANNA GO TO PARK NOW!
Chibi IA: Look at me. See I'm bigger than you right?
Puni nods.
Chibi IA: See this? (She makes a fist).
Puni nods.
Chibi IA: If you say "ME WANNA GO TO PARK NOW" again, I'm going to ...
But before either Chibi IA could finish her sentence an elegant figure pushes her way
through the crowd towards them. It was Chibi IA's older sister, the Vocaloid superstar, IA.
IA: You will do nothing of the sort! That is not how you handle young children!
Now what's going on here?
Puni: ME WANNA GO TO PARK!
IA looks around for a moment and sees Miku in an animated discussion with Officer
Misato. Neru was with them and looks over towards IA, points at Miku and Puni and then
shrugs. IA squints for a moment then takes matters into her own hands.
IA: Did you have lunch Puni?
Puni: YES! Puni ate everything!
IA: Oh, and what did you eat Puni?
Puni: Burger and fries and milk and cookie!
IA: And you ate it all?
Puni nods.
IA gets closer to Puni and sniffs her for a moment.
IA: Chibi IA, go over to Neru and get that bag she has over her shoulder, please.
Chibi IA gives her older sibling a quizzical look but says nothing as she heads over to
retrieve a large shoulder bag from Neru. Chibi Gumi is very curious at this point, but just
keeps quiet and watches closely.
Chibi IA: Here's the bag Sis. What's going on?
IA opens the bag, checks the contents inside for a moment and nods to herself.
IA: OK Puni, let's go to the park. You two are coming too.
Chibi IA: What's going on Sis?
IA gives her a big smile.
IA: Puni needs a diaper change and you two just volunteered! Come on let's go.
There's a diaper change station at the woman's toilet in the park.
Chibi IA: (To Chibi Gumi). This is all your fault ...
Chibi Gumi: (Grinning devilishly). So I'm still trying to figure out the part where
you're smart ...
IA signals to Neru to indicate where they were headed. Neru just nods and watches as IA
turns and herds the three youngsters across the road to the park.

This Pune Hatsune model may be all the days I've seen the cutest thing.

Design-wise it's a cutie. Bit of a pain to use, she's got too many bones for such a small model and enough facials for several models. Still, worth having. She's available via Bowlroll under Onda's account if I remember or possibly Xoriu has it listed in her blog somewhere.
