Description Dobinxette wakes up to find herself in a strange dark cave, with no recollection of how she got there or why she is in her Dobinxette form. Suffice to say, her confusion is only further compounded when she starts hearing a faint voice. At first, she tries to look around and find where the voice is coming from. However, the voice soon tells her there is no point, as it's coming from inside her body. At first she thinks she is going crazy, until she starts hearing Present Night Guard and Selena too.

Suffice to say, her reaction is a combination of "Yes! I finally got you!" and "WHAT ARE YOU DOING INSIDE MY BODY!". Upon hearing that the story is a long and complicated one, her brash and impulsive nature takes over, and she decides it is best to get back to her temple to figure things out. With that, Dobinxette sets off, and warns that if the duo touch anything, there will be consequences. With Shepa's help, the duo are able to communicate with Dobinxette. However, they don't have much choice in the matter, and simply have to sit back and let Dobinxette take over for the time being.

Dobinxette is a rather different character than the duo. To start with, there is only one of her, and due to her bulk she is incapable of jumping, meaning she is reliant on ramps to scale even minor elevation changes. However, her primary, and right now only action, is to punch, allowing her to smash her way through certain obstacles. She tries breathing fire, but has no success. In typical fashion, she blames the duo, although they are rather insistent that they didn't do anything, especially since they don't even know how she breathes fire, much less the location of any mechanisms. As Dobinxette explores the area, she encounters Skelletonnes.

Just like on the overworld, Dobinxette is very much a different type of fighter in a battle. She is much slower than the duo, but she is far more powerful in turns of durability and attack power. Additionally, she attacks by punching, and while this can only hit ground-based enemies, it is the most powerful basic attack in the game, dealing heavy damage, especially on a full-power hit. Skelletonnes attack by throwing their limbs at Dobinxette, starting with their arms and finishing with their head, requiring Dobinxette to punch each of them back in turn. Similar to hammer counters, Dobinxette's punch counter can damage enemies, as demonstrated when she hits a Skelletonne's head away, damaging it in the process. Additionally, if Dobinxette takes enough consecutive damage, she can gain the 'Fury' status effect, doubling her POW but halving her DEF, making her both deal and receive additional damage.

After a number of battles, Shepa suggests that Dobinxette might be able to put her inhaling ability to use in battle. When Dobinxette doesn't know what she is talking about, Shepa simply suggests to 'give it a try'. This allows Dobinxette to inhale certain enemies and objects while in battle, such as the limbs from Skelletonnes, starting with the arms and then the head, should she execute the move successfully enough. If she inhales the head, the duo can fight it. Not only can the immobile head not attack, but it is also vulnerable to attacks from above, such as the duos' jump attacks. KO'ing a Skelletonne's head will KO the body as well.

As Dobinxette nears the exit of Skull Gorge, she encounters the mysterious hooded merchant again, sparking memories from before. The merchant drops the disguise and reveals herself as none other than Misty... Who Dobinxette has no recollection of. Misty declares that returning to her temple is a futile endeavor. With that, Misty prepares to depart, and Dobinxette's attempt to stop her is in turn stopped by a Sphinxy Statue blocking the way. At first Dobinxette is unimpressed, until Misty reveals some of the modifications she has performed on it, such as a pair of eye lasers that very much catch Dobinxette off-guard. As Misty departs out of sight, Dobinxette and the duo agree that they'll have to deal with the Sphinxy Statue. Together...
