Description
Arriving in Roguetown, Present Night Guard and Selena are greeted with utter devastation. The town has been attacked by the same ship that attacked the MRRU craft. Even worse, they witness first-hand members of the populace being turned into monsters that vaguely resemble Selena, much to her distaste. One of the remaining citizens weakly speaks of a 'witch with a dark heart', which the two instantly understand. Whoever stole the Dark Heart is here, and is clearly using its powers for no good.

Journeying through Roguetown, the duo start encountering Selenos, which are occasionally backed up by malfunctioning Mythforce Tankers. Selenos attack by attempting to ram into their target, which can be avoided or countered by jumping. If there are multiple Selenos in the battle at once, two of them may attack in unison, requiring both characters to jump as necessary. Mythforce Tankers are tough enemies that never appear more than once in a battle. They attack using their cannons, which must be jumped over. Sometimes they will shoot normally, whilst other times they will struggle to get the round out of the cannon, which means the shot will be delayed, and will come out twice as fast.

As they venture through Roguetown, they come across Red Knight and Grey Knight from the ship, seeking shelter from the 'witch'. However, they offer to teach the duo the Chopper Jump move, allowing them to cross the chasms that have formed in the ground and that would otherwise be impassable with a normal jump. Additionally, they learn the Duo Spin special attack, and the Knights offer to barter the stock of items they have managed to recover, acting as a temporary shop whilst the town is in ruins.

Continuing the journey, the duo start encountering 8-BIT Selenos, which are nearly identical to normal Selenos in their attacks and stats. However, they have different timings, and are more jerky in their movements, in an attempt to throw the target off when defending.

Eventually they reach the town hall, where they come across the so-called 'witch', and surely enough she has the Dark Heart...
