Description Encountering the projection of Misty in Dobinxette's mind, the duo prepare to fight her...

Unlike other bosses and enemies, Misty does not have a set 'number' of attacks turns that she gets. Instead, Misty has a power meter, that fills when she is attacked, and empties whenever she attacks. The rate at which it fills is based on damage, instead of number of hits. This means that weaker attacks will not fill the meter as quickly as stronger attacks. Each of Misty's attacks use up a certain portion of her power meter, with more powerful attacks using up more of the meter. For example, if she has enough power, she can perform two weaker attacks instead of one smaller attack. Later in the battle, the meter fills faster and her attacks use up less of the meter, allowing her to perform more attacks per turn if the meter is full enough. Misty has several attacks.

Misty's first attack is to launch a magic orb above the duo, before dropping it on one of them. Before it falls, it will briefly show one of the duo, indicating that is who must hit it back up with a hammer counter. The orb will fall several times before eventually dissipating. If the orb hits a character, it can deal the 'Dizzy' status effect. Later in the battle, the orb falls faster, indicates its target for less time, and falls more times before breaking. This attack uses a small portion of the power bar.

Misty's second attack is to create two pairs of portals, each with one portal in front of her, and the other in front of one of the duo. She will then begin firing magic lasers into the portals, causing them to emerge from the portals in front of the duo, aimed directly at them, requiring them to jump over the lasers. Despite being lasers, they are not instantaneous and have a slight delay before emerging. If a laser hits its target, it can inflict the 'SPD-Down' status effect. Later in the battle, Misty will swap the portals part-way through the attack in an attempt to throw the duo off. This attack uses a small portion of the power bar.

Misty's third attack is to fire a sweeping beam up and down the screen towards the duo, requiring them to jump over it as it passes them. Occasionally, Misty will teleport the duo, causing them to swap places, before sweeping the beam again, and she can do this several times. If the beam hits, it can trip that character, leaving them vulnerable to another attack, since being teleported will not undo the trip. Later in the battle, the attack will last longer, and Misty will teleport the duo more often. This attack uses a medium portion of the power bar.

Misty's fourth attack is to launch an enormous magic orb above the duo, before dropping it on both of them, requiring them to hit it back upwards simultaneously. The orb will fall several times, falling faster each time, making it more difficult to hit. On top of this, Misty will frequently fire smaller blasts directly at the duo, requiring them to briefly shift their concentration and destroy the blasts with hammer counters. She will fire at both of them and in various patterns, often requiring them to stagger their hammer swings. After hitting the large orb enough times, they will hit it into the power meter, significantly depleting it. If only one of them hits the orb, it will simply bounce into the other character. Anyone hit by the orb will take heavy damage and possibly suffer the 'DEF-Down' status effect. Later in the battle, the orb will take slightly more hits, and will deplete less of the meter upon a successful counter. This attack uses a large portion of the power bar.

After being defeated, Misty will promptly abandon her plan, declaring that she is resorting to a 'backup plan'. She also announces her intention to factor the duo into her planning from now on, and the projection dissipates...

The first Misty battle has been remastered and... It's COMPLETELY different, aside from some similarities with one or two attacks. Gone is much of her old arsenal, and now she has an actual gimmick, where how many attacks and which attacks she uses are dependent on her power meter, meaning you can either try to restrict her attacks by only using weaker attacks, or you can go all-in with your strongest attacks and have to deal with a barrage of her most powerful attacks. Even better, as the battle goes on the meter fills faster and empties slower, making it even harder to manage!
