Description As the unexpected victims of Trixie's boredom, the duo prepare to fight.

Trixie has a number of special abilities that she can use to drastically alter the battle. Firstly, whenever an action is used, she will scramble that action for the next turn. Scrambled actions can still be used, but there is a significant chance of that character using a completely different action instead. The only limitations on this are that special attacks will not be used if that character doesn't have enough SP, and HP and SP restoring items will not be used if that character is full on that stat. This means that the duo must mix up their attacks if they want to have any form of consistent damage output, and naturally counters attack spamming. Additionally, Trixie will frequently summon Junkbots, being able to have up to four in the battle at any one time. Junkbots are individually weak, and can only attack by rushing at one of the duo, requiring them to hit it back with a hammer counter. However, upon being KO'd their cargo will be revealed. Each Junkbot holds one item from the following list, and each has a different effect.

Bomb - Bombs will be launched at one of the duo, requiring them to hit it away with a hammer counter, otherwise it will explode on them, possibly inflicting the 'Dizzy' status effect.
Dud Bomb - Identical to bombs, except that they do not explode, dealing less damage and no status effects.
Homing Missile - Will quickly fly at one of the duo, requiring them to jump over it. Landing on it or being hit causes it to explode, possibly dealing the 'Dizzy' status effect.
Sphinxy Snack - Sphinxy Snacks will be launched at one of the duo, and must not be hit away, since they are healing items. Trixie can be healed by these.
Cookie - Cookies work like Sphinxy Snacks, except that they restore SP instead of HP, and Trixie does not make use of them.
Chestnutter, Seleno or Anu - Previously encountered enemies with overworld stats (except for HP, which will be capped at 1HP, meaning they can be KO'd in a single hit). Upon being released, they will join the battle and take the place of the KO'd Junkbot.

Trixie herself has several attacks, and gains a second attack turn later in the battle. Her first attack is to stomp on a Junkbot to KO it and release its cargo. Projectiles will be thrown at one of the duo, Sphinxy Snacks will be used to restore a small portion of her HP, Cookies will be discarded and enemies will either join the battle, or be thrown at one of the duo, requiring them to KO the enemy with a hammer counter.

Her second attack is to hang from the top of the bottom screen by her tail, before swinging and launching her various body parts at the duo, starting with her arms then moving onto her legs. If a body part bounces along the floor, the target must jump over it. If they are hit, they can trip. If a body part bounces higher off the ground, they must hit it away with a hammer counter, and can suffer the 'Dizzy' status effect if they are hit. Finally, she will launch her head at one of the duo, requiring them to hit it to the other character, damaging Trixie in the process, before they must then hit the head back at Trixie, damaging her again. If a character is hit by the head, they can suffer the 'Dizzy' status effect.

Her third attack is to throw her head into the air, before catching it, putting it back in place, and charging quickly at one of the duo, requiring them to jump over or on her to avoid or counter. Her target depends on how she throws her head. Before throwing, she will move in line with one of the duo. If the head stays upright in the air, that character is the target. If it spins in mid-air, the other character will be targeted. If it spins twice, the first character will still be the target. Occasionally, it will spin the other way, but this had no effect on target choice and serves only to try and throw the duo off.

Her fourth attack is to detach her tail and throw it off to the right, causing it to screen-wrap and reappear behind one of the duo, requiring them to jump over it. Her target is telegraphed by who she is in line with. Additionally, she will sometimes miss, causing the tail to be targeted at the other character. If the tail hits, it can deal the 'DEF-Down' status effect.

Once Trixie is defeated, she will abruptly fall apart, much to the horror of the duo. Trixie then proceeds to laugh at their horrified reactions, and promptly reassembles herself. She states that she could easily fight with them all day, but recognizes their feeble organic fragility, and agrees to help them. Before the duo can question her on how she is going to get them back inside Dobinxette, she teleports them... Back inside Dobinxette. Trixie assures them that they'll have her assistance on the journey, and can use her abilities to teleport to and from Dobinxette's body whenever they want. Additionally, they can teleport to any location that the duo have previously visited (but not locations that only Dobinxette has visited).

Trixie has now been deluxified... Is that even a word? If not, I'm making it a word. Anyway, not much different here. The Junkbots are MUCH weaker than in the original however, and that's actually a flaw I've found in the original Journey. Bosses with subordinate enemies were way too tough, simply because those minions were stupid tough. In the case of Trixie's Junkbots, you're going to see a lot of them throughout the battle, which means they need to be easy to get rid of. Additionally, Trixie's menu scrambling trick went from a general ability to a counter. She will only do it whenever you use an action, meaning you can still do that action consecutively, but there's a high chance that you'll fall for her trick and use a completely different action. But aside from that, her attack pool is pretty much identical to the original.
