Description After Dobinxette is trapped in her own temple, the duo unlock several optional quests, one of which involves returning to Sphinxette's Temple and venturing into the lower levels, where they encounter a number of Misty's brainwashed minions attempting to bypass several security systems to venture deep into the temple's archives. Being brainwashed, none of them recognize the duo and simply go about their business, although one of them lets slip about a cryogenic containment vault deep within the lower levels. Apparently a group of minions managed to find it before mysteriously going missing. With the help of the brainwashed minions, the duo are successfully able to navigate the myriad and complex puzzles guarding the vault, and are able to access it. Inside, they find that the cryogenic containment systems have been deactivated. Even worse, they encounter a trio of Alienuu which have been released as a result. Naturally hostile, the Alienuu attack the duo...

Uniquely, the Alienuu are something between a boss battle and a normal enemy battle. They fight as a trio and are all identical. However, they can cooperate to attack, and their eye lasers are unique in that they ignore all forms of DEF and damage resistance. Combined with their absurdly-high POW, this makes even a single hit practically guaranteed to KO a character, and if both of the duo mess up a counter they can be defeated very easily. Due to this power, the Alienuu's attacks never deal status effects. The Alienuu have several attacks:

Their first attack is to walk up to one of the duo and fire their eye lasers at them. Unlike most other Anu variants, Alienuu eye lasers are projectiles, instead of instantaneous lasers, meaning there is a short delay before the target must jump over the lasers. Additionally, another Alienu may join the attack, targeting the other character. When attacking like this, the Alienuu may fire at the same time or one after the other, requiring the duo to jump in a matching pattern.

Their second attack is to stand in front of the duo and raise a foot before firing at one of them, requiring the target to jump. If the right foot was raised, Present Night Guard is the target, and if the left foot was raised, Selena is the target. Sometimes, the Alienu will twirl before raising a foot. If it does so, these telegraphs will be swapped, with the right foot indicating Selena and vice versa.

Their third attack is for one of the Alienu to stand in front of the duo, before a second one bounces off the first and into the air before firing their eye lasers, requiring the target to jump over the lasers. If the Alienu spins around in mid-air, Selena is the target, and if it does not Present Night Guard is the target. Sometimes the Alienu will flip before spinning (or not spinning), in which case these telegraphs are flipped (spinning means Present Night Guard etc.). Additionally, the third Alienu can also join this attack, bouncing up and attacking just after the second Alienu attacks.

Once the Alienuu are defeated, the duo will receive the Mighty Meteorite special attack, concluding the side-quest.

X-COM RPG bo- No wait, wrong aliens. Anyway, these creepy purple nuts have been remastered and their battle is... Pretty much identical to before. Same attacks, same one-shot POW values and same lack of inflicting status effects (oh dear you're on fire, but it's ok because YOU'RE DEAD). However, these guys have received a substantial statistical buff compared to before, since these guys give you the second-to-last duo attack. As such, I feel they would be better fought later on, instead of as soon as they become available.
