Description After leaving Dobinxette's body for the second time, the duo unlock an optional quest which involves them returning to Sphinxette's Temple and exploring the upper levels. There, they find an unusually ornate room, complete with a master bed, lavish decorations, a number of children's toys and a large doll house. After determining that there is nothing of use to be found, they prepare to leave, only to be blocked by a figure who appears to be a smaller Sphinxette. She promptly declares the duo as 'new toys' and throws a potion on them, shrinking them down to micro size, allowing her to forcefully stuff them into the doll house.

Exploring the doll house, they quickly discover that they are not alone, and are in fact part of a collection of 'toys' belonging to none other than Princess Sphinxella, Queen Sphinxette's spoiled brat of a daughter. Among them are a number of intrepid explorers, former prisoners of the queen, and even a few Anuu who have spectacularly failed in their duties. Learning that they have but a few hours until 'playtime', the unpleasantness of which is made well known, the duo decide to try and find a way to escape, despite the other prisoners having long since given up. The princess keeps a tight lock on the doll house, and many who have managed to escape have been caught by the princess and have never returned. However, the duo are able to find a crack in the bottom floor, and using their overworld moves they are able to escape.

Navigating the princess' room at micro size, they are able to scale a now-gargantuan cupboard and find the antidote, just in case the princess manages to shrink herself by accident. With considerable effort, they are able to push the antidote off the shelf, smashing it on the floor and spilling the antidote, which they promptly jump into, quickly returning to full size just as the princess returns. Naturally, she tries to re-shrink them. However, covered in the antidote as they are, it does not work, and since 'mummy' hasn't been around for some time, she decides to take 'special care' of the duo herself...

While Princess Sphinxella is a decent fighter in her own right, her primary trick is to call in members of her retinue to either boost her own abilities or provide additional attacks, sometimes both. She can call in a Butler Anu, who will provide her with drinks which she can use to boost one of her stats or heal a small amount of HP. Alternatively, she can call in Pixie and her Walker Anu, who have a separate attack turn and their own attacks. When Princess Sphinxella is KO'd, the battle immediately ends. Princess Sphinxella has two attacks turns by default, and she has a range of attacks.

Her first attack is to call in an Anu, before repeatedly smacking it until it is rapidly spinning on the spot. She will then hit it at one of the duo, requiring the target to hit it away with a hammer counter. If it is spinning clockwise when she hits it, Present Night Guard is the target. If it is spinning anticlockwise when she hits it, Selena is the target. This attack can deal the 'Dizzy' status effect if it hits. Later in the battle, she will hit the Anu more before launching it, causing it to spin at the target much faster than before.

Her second attack is to use a modified version of Dobinxette's Anuu Assault, where she will order a group of Anuu to charge at the duo, requiring them to jump over the Anuu as they charge to avoid them. If they land on an Anu, it will be KO'd. However, Sphinxella will often set an Anu on fire with her magic wand, launching it at one of the duo, requiring them to knock it away with a hammer counter. Unlike Dobinxette's version of the attack, this will all happen while the rest of the Anuu are still charging. If a charging Anu hits a character, they can trip. If an ignited Anu hits a character, they can suffer the 'Burning' status effect. Later in the battle, more Anuu will charge, they will charge quicker, and Sphinxella will ignite more of them.

Her third attack is to order an Anu to teleport in between the duo and continuously fire its eye lasers at her. She will hold up a mirror and use it to reflect the beam back at the duo. She will then rotate the mirror, causing the laser to sweep up and down the screen, requiring the duo (and the Anu) to jump over it as it passes them. She will gradually rotate the mirror faster, causing the laser to sweep faster until the Anu is too slow to jump and is hit, stopping the beam. Sphinxella will then get angry and throw the mirror at one of the duo, requiring the target to smash it with a hammer counter. If the beam hits a character, it can deal the 'DEF-Down' status effect. However, this does not end the attack, meaning it can deal heavy damage if the duo's timing is off. Later in the battle, this attack lasts longer and has a higher maximum speed.

While a Butler Anu is in the battle, Sphinxella gains a fourth attack, in which she takes a drink, causing her to grow giant and chase the duo. As they run away, Anuu will charge in from the left and attempt to ram into them, requiring them to jump over or on them to avoid them, leaving Sphinxella to stomp on them in the process. Occasionally, an Anu will stop mid-charge before jumping over their targeted character, requiring them to not jump. If an Anu hits one of the duo, they will trip, leaving Sphinxella to stomp on them for heavy damage, possibly inflicting the 'STAT-Down' status effect in the process. The attack continues until either the potion wears off and Sphinxella returns to normal size, or she stomps both of the duo. Later in the battle, more Anuu will charge at the duo, and the attack lasts longer.

While Pixie and her Walker Anu are in the battle, they have their own set of attacks. Their first attack is for the Walker Anu to lose control of Pixie, causing her to run in circles around the duo, dragging the Anu behind her. While she will run harmlessly around the duo, she will drag the Anu into them, requiring them to jump over or on it to avoid or counter respectively. If this attack hits, it can trip. Furthermore, this does not end the attack, allowing it to combo multiple hits and trips. Later in the battle, Pixie may change direction mid-attack in an attempt to throw the duo off.

Their second attack is for Sphinxella to command Pixie to curl up into a ball, before hitting her at one of the duo, requiring the target to hit her back with a hammer counter. This will begin a back-and-forth, where Sphinxella will alternate between the duo, hitting Pixie back each time and requiring the duo to hit her back with a hammer counter each time. Pixie will get faster each time until one of the duo is hit or Sphinxella is too slow and is hit instead. This attack can deal the 'Dizzy' status effect if it hits. Later in the battle, this attack lasts longer and Pixie will get faster before Sphinxella misses.

If both a Butler Anu and Pixie's Walker Anu are in the battle, Sphinxella gains a final new attack, where she feeds Pixie a potion, causing her to grow giant and charge at the duo. This time however, she will charge directly into the duo, requiring them to jump and land on her, bouncing off her and over the Walker Anu. This attack deals heavy damage and can trip if it hits, and this does not end the attack. Later in the battle, Pixie can change direction mid-attack.

Once Sphinxella is defeated, the duo use the rest of the antidote potion to return the rest of the prisoners to full size, releasing them much to Sphinxella's fury. She immediately demands a rematch, stating it wasn't fair as there were two of them. The duo are more than happy to oblige, and promptly stomp her without even starting a battle. Sphinxella once again demands a rematch, before Selena stops her and states that it's ok to lose sometimes. The duo then explain what has happened to Queen Sphinxette, and offer Sphinxella the opportunity to help get her back to normal. After much encouragement from her minions, Sphinxella finally uses her head for something sensible, and agrees, unlocking the 'Minion Menagerie' special attack for the duo and concluding the sidequest.

Optional boss number two down. Well, technically number one chronologically, but whateeeeever. Anyway, all of the attacks in this battle are basically identical. The minions work in the same way and Sphinxella keeps her two attack turns, which is pretty significant, especially with how much variety there is in her attacks. However, a significant change is that all of her attacks ramp up in some way later in the battle.
