Notes: The 'Mountain Ghost' is a suitably-named species that inhabits the Ice Mountains region, and is seldom seen in open view. The Ice Mountains were a popular tourist spot before the invasion, and many mountain climbers claimed to have seen strange shadows moving in the distance. These shadows are believed to have been Mountain Ghosts, their intents unknown.

The only way Mountain Ghosts have ever been observed is through remote drones, and they have revealed some incredible facts. The ecosystem a Mountain Ghost inhabits is unimaginably fragile. With no solid food at such high altitudes, and with such a fragile and extremely well-balanced anatomy, the Mountain Ghost can sustain itself entirely on frozen water, which is in ample supply at such high altitudes, where water vapor is common and all the Mountain Ghost need do is suck on the nearest piece of ice to gain its daily sustenance. As such, it is rare for Mountain Ghosts to leave their mountains.

An expedition was once mounted to 'rescue' one and bring it to Mutant City for scientific examination, but when the Mountain Ghost began showing signs of severe deterioration whilst leaving the Ice Kingdom, it was promptly released after some debate and helped back into cold enough regions. It appears the Mountain Ghost cannot survive outside of the Ice Kingdom, where temperatures are simply too high for its biology, temperatures we would consider to be 'mildly cold'.

Of particular note is the Mountain Ghost's tail, which stretches a full two meters in length and must be extremely unwieldy to bear around. As such, Mountain Ghosts have been observed keeping the tail hung around their shoulders to reduce the risk of it snagging on something. The evolutionary purpose of such a long tail is unknown.
