Oh, i don't understand much about Nikons

is not a matter of nikons or canon... is a matter of diffeent sizes of the sensor you have in the camera.
both canon and nikon produce 2 different type of cameras:
full frame sensor cameras (ie: canon 1d Mark III, Canon 5d Mark II, Nikon D3x, Nikon d700)
and reduced frame sensor cameras (ie: canon 450d, canon 40d, nikon d300, nikon d90, etc...)

the different size of the sensor make necessary a multiplication (usually 1.6) of the mm of the lens you are using... so a 12mm is a 18mm on a full frame sensor... a 10mm is a 16mm on a full fram sensor.

Is not easy to explain and to understand but the point is that a 18mm on a reduced sensor is a medium wideangle... nothing special at all... (18x1.6=29mm) and a 18mm on afull frame is a real 18mm you don't have to multiply it for any number)

Oh, so sorry, i didn't explained well.
I know that, i just didn't knew D700 was fullframe

Thanks!

Very nice work! Those 18mm almost look like 10mm

18mm on a full-frame sensor = 10mm on a reduced-frame sensor
