Hey! Longtime, no see huh? Hope you're all doing well and have had a decent start to the new year. I really want to submit more art on this site starting this year. It just feels weird to have this account here, but be doing next to nothing with it outside of random submissions every blue moon. I won't promise anything, but I will try to make these submissions more fequent.

Anyways, what do we have here exactly? A Power Ranger team. Yes, I'm taking a break from uploading rider or sentai stuff for the moment so that I can give some love to the series that introduced me to the world of tokusatus in general. As stated by the submission name, this Ranger team is referred to as the "Treasure Hunters", a group of archaeologists/hunters who happen to be tasked with also saving the world.

That last part is important because the main character growth for this team is learning to be heroes and being Power Rangers, not just being called that. They start off as selfish and sometimes cold, but are allowed to grow into their powers as the threat continues to rise. They also must learn to work together rather than trying to do things alone. It helps this team stand out from the other 11 so far since no matter what character flaws each Ranger has, they all want world peace. For the most part, this team doesn't really care.

Treasure Hunter Red  - The ever serious and confident leader of the team. He prefers fighting alone and does not want to get close to his fellow rangers.
Treasure Hunter Blue  - The second-in-command and moral compass of the team. Of the five, she is the most interested in getting to know her teammates.
Treasure Hunter Green  - The brains of the team who was one of the first members to be chosen. He is also the brother of the Black Ranger.
Treasure Hunter Black  - The charismatic hotshot. He was one of the first members chosen and has a unique skill with long-range weaponry.
Treasure Hunter Pink  - The acrobatic wonder of the team. She sometimes refuses the help of her teammates and has trouble speaking of her past.
As hinted at in these simplified bios, the team members are chosen to be Power Rangers by the gimmick item located next to Green's helmet: the "Treasury Chargers". They are gems from another planet that take the form of batteries to be used by the rangers. They are used to transform in the "Flash Hunt Morpher", a flashlight/gun weapon that is mainly used for searching dark areas. The main sidearms of the team are the red "North Compass Saber", the black "South Compass Saber", and the dual colored "Track Blaster". The two Compass Saber blades can be extended together into the "Compass Staff" weapon, which can then combine further with the Track Blaster to become the metal detector-like "Battle Detector".

Additionally, each member has their own individual weapon called a "Treasure Weapon". Red wields the "Treasure Gyro", Blue has the "Treasure Blaster", Green the "Treasure Drill", Black the "Treasure Sniper", and Pink arms herself with the "Treasure Staff". All five Treasure Weapons can be combined into the "Treasure Cannon" to defeat tougher enemies. Drill and Sniper have further functionality that will be explained at a later time.

Using the "Hunt Callers" featured on their belts, the Rangers can either communicate with each other or summon the "Hunter Zords".
Gyro Hunter  - A red aircraft piloted by TH Red. Uses turbines on the wings to hover and fly. Forms the main body.
Marine Hunter - A blue submarine piloted by TH Blue. It has built-in torpedoes and claws. Forms the left arm.
Drill Hunter - A green drill tank piloted by TH Green. Forms the right arm.
Excavate Hunter - A black excavator piloted by TH Black. Forms the left leg.
Dozer Hunter - A pink bulldozer piloted by TH Pink. Forms the right leg.
Together, the five base Hunter Zords can combine into the "Treasure Hunter Megazord" to engage grown monsters in the city.

That's all the basic information for this team so far. Now comes the behind-the-scenes stuff. This team was initially created in 2016 or 2017. Back then, and until recently, they were called the "Map Hunters". The concept was similar, but lacked the character growth that the current team has. In that initial version, Red, Blue, and Pink were high schoolers while Black and Green were older members. You can see the original design here .

The weapons and zords were also different with the exception of Red. Blue had a pair of guns and a van zord. Green had a lance and a helicopter zord. Black still had a sniper, but had the drill tank zord at the time. Pink had bladed weapons of some kind and a jet zord. The megazord was heavily inspired by Great Five from Maskman, one of my favorite early sentai mechs.

When I began reworking some of my older PR ideas, Map Hunters was one that I felt could benefit greatly from a revision, especially in the suit department. While the team are treasure hunters trying to find pieces of their gimmicks, the Map Gems, the original design had no direct link to that aside from the lights on the helmet. Now, the suits are more connected to the theme with the new helmet lights, the visor having a glasses shape on them when you look closer, a golden sash with the compass arrows on it, and even the color layout of the suit. The parts of the suits with the ranger's specific color are meant to represent helmets, vests, gloves, and boots. The white areas are supposed to represent shirts and pants as well as skin.

I'm also proud of the way the standard sidearms came out. Full disclosure, these were not the first design and they didn't even exist in the original version. What happened was that I had finished the sidearms, but the file became corrupted, so I had to start from scratch with them. I'm much more pleased with these new designs though. They just look more complete to me.
