Compared to the 90s and 2000s, the 2010s are dumb and bland.

I don't remember Furbies being that popular (I remember Beanie Babies, Tickle Me Elmo and Tiger handhelds being more popular tbh) also I remember 90s kids used to smoke cigarettes, they were definitely not as innocent as everyone makes them out to be.

Every single generation feels like it is better than the new kids on the block (thanks to nostalgia and rose tinted glasses). I'm sure that 10-20 years down the road people will be like, "God, I used to listen to REAL MUSIC Like Katty Perry and One Direction not this crap that these dumb kids listen to."

I'm sure they will.
And I'm sure someone will watch their younger generation change and put the difference into a visual representative to show other people.
That is art, and its best not to get hung up on the details like band names, but the message that things change.
Either that is what you're saying so thanks for the compliment, or you're being a critic so, thank's for the comment

Let's be honest. Children 20 years ago were little different than children today. They listened to music, they watched television, they played video games, and just like now, they drew the ire of their elders, who often complained about how things were better "back in the day". All that has changed is the name brands and media with which they do these things.

I think with the exponential growth of technology that has only multiplied in the past 10-20 years has set a shift of modern activity leaving the daily routine not at all like it was 'back in the day'.
Granted some things haven't changed either but some things will and some things won't. The modern form of internet has only been around since the 1980's. Children 20 years ago were much different today if you stand back and look at it as social evolution and tech advancement and cencorship and political correctness changes. You're entitled to your opinion of course but you sound narrow minded if you think 'all that changed is name brands and the media which they do things.'

the 2000s kids try to look as sexy they can by buying pointless clothes finding out exciting news and things on facebook
while the 90s kids would just wear normal clothes and would find out exciting things and news personaly
inwas born in 2000 unfortunatly

Where do I start...My whole life in public places and encountering people in society, I never saw children acting like the children in the bottom panel, I have alot of young cousins who are growing up in this generation and they are pretty normal and not into some bogus fad or phase and sure as hell not doing things they're not suppose to do, sure there is those group of kids doing asinine things and acting like idiots but this isn't the only generation who have kids doing stupid shit. As for the 90s thing, I knew alot of kids in my childhood who smoked and drank (some of my cousins) which i find the part with the two boys encountering a cigarette inaccurate.Never was a fan of pokemon, didn't watched toonami all the time. Also knew alot of kids in stupid fads and phases. My childhood involved with DC and Marvel comic books, outside activities, and drawing. What i'm trying to say is there's always going to be kids doing stupid things, acting stupid, having a normal childhood life regardless what era it is.I'm sorry if i'm coming on as an asshole but i'm just tired of everyone generalizing the current era as if it has nothing but idiots and bullshit while trying to make the precious 90s as a greatest, smartest, and where the only place where people had "brains" but suddenly, after 1999 the whole world is bad all of a sudden and everyone who was born after 1999 are idiots. I know alot of people who were born in the 90s and my god they're stupid. so i'm gonna have to go into the conclusion that the 90s was not the greatest generation that some people exaggerate to say. I'm sorry but its not, it was a good generation but sure as hell ain't the greatest.

woa man.
You seem pretty bothered.
This piece mostly only points out the difference in fads between the two generations.
Mostly how the internet and things like facebook have kids today thinking or growing beyond their years.
I never said you cant have a different opinion.
If someone born in the 70s wanted to show his generation pride and compare it to kids in the 90s, I wouldnt get on his case about it because thats just how he feels. And a lot of people would agree with him, the same way a lot of people agreed with me (see every comment before yours.)
This is art, sir. Personal opinion and expression. If you cant handle that, I wont argue with you about, I'll just kindly point out your in the wrong place.

Totally true. I was born in '94 so I grew up mostly in the early 2000s, but I can so relate to this. Kids these days just don't have as much innocence as the last generations.

Every decade has it's ups and downs. Even though I was born in 1984 I didn't think the 90s were as glamorous as many people hail them to be. Because there are so many things from the I don't miss such as...
-Clothing(ranged from boxy,bland or shapless)
-Comic books
-Dial up internet
-VHS
-Movies(pretty hit & miss)
-Being branded a homo for liking EDM(high school wasn't a fun time for me).

I can really relate to this even though I was born in 94... I think the early 2000s was still pretty 90s and my brother & cousins who are older than me were true 90s kids so they were still 90s for a while.
I got my first phone when I was eleven, and now I've seen kids who are 8-10 with iPhones, its ridiculous. They have DVDs and X-Box, Playstation 3, Nitendo DS's, and look at the games like Assassin's Greed & Call Of Duty! All amazing stuff. We had the Sega Megadrive, Gameboy (B&W & colour), VHS, and I remember getting a Playstation 1 and thinking how advanced it was lol. Windows 95 ftw. Also I feel sorry for kids these days only listening to now music. 90s music... U2, Green Day, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, old school hip hop...

hello random stranger, i can agree with your comment.
people i know/their friends are even raising their babeis on iphone apps and shit. theres even little teddies for babies that have iphone docks in their tummies etc. the argument is "its educational and interactive. this little keyboard makes noise when they press each key"
HOW ABOUT GET THEM A REAL FUCKING KEYBOARD?
then maybe they can experience sensations beyond the feel of a screen and shitty speaker noise.
theres a lot more to life kids need to experience.
why do parents wonder why their kids sit in front of the computer all day when its all theyve raised them on. :l
