Using his ability to manipulate plants and metal with a touch, meaning he can turn a broke branch into a rifle (plus the survival natural instinct) allow him to become a phantom thief that loves leaves those that deserve it in a golden plate for the authorities. He also found a Timber Wolf that became his partner called Stickbite.

Years later, at 19, while Sarent was finishing reuniting Edge City to take it away from its no mans land status, he was wondering in a forest with his timberwolf, Stickbite, experimenting with his power to forged a new sword combining both plants and steel. He finish it, just as he got attacked by savage Treants, who gave him a cursed, where he will slowly become one. He talked to treants that weren’t as savaged (those had gone crazy), but they couldn’t help him

3 years later, after trying and falling to find a cure, he decided to go tell Sarent personally, since he had been keeping it a secret. So he went to New Edge City, only to find KR Kikai being attack on a big plaza, and gets his transformation cancelled, revealing to the public it’s Sarent, who kept it a secret not only as a way to help unified humans and robots to get the city out of its ‘No mans land’ state, but also because he thought that he needed to restric himself from using it regularly, so needing to keep it a secret would mean he would only use it in emergencies.
Viret got in to try and save him, only to get captured by Foundation X.

There, while he was in a cell as they were working to install implants of control in Sarent, Viret noticed that the coursed was starting to take hold quickly than anticipated.
As he was suffering from the curse, an another Kikai Kibug that had escape the lab without anyone noticing, wonder into his cell. When Viret touch it, the kibug absorbed part of the curse effect, transforming it, and Viret realized that it was the solution he had been looking to get a permanent method.
Viret escaped his cell to go to the lab, where he used an incomplete driver and another Kikai wooden part extract that the scientist were working on, to create the Timber Driver, which with the help of Kibug, it help him reduce the effects of the curse to the minimum and keep it there. He made what he would call ‘Seed Capsules’, that allow him to use different types of plants as powers, particularly in his sword, he also called Sarent’s police force for back up to bust them out. As security arrived while was getting his stuff back, he transformed into Timber. He liberated Stickbite, then he went to get get to Sarent, but was not able to get in time to prevent him from getting implant port installed on his head, and as he was freeing him from the restraints, a shot one of them, causing it to explode, and blowing up Sarent left arm. Just them the rescue force had arrived and take them out. After that he decided to stay in New Edge City to help the people from the opposite of the law to Sarent
