Oxygen intake. Heart rate. Brainwaves.

"Y'know, the important stuff..."

Flashes of electricity crackled against the shields.
They ducked involuntarily.

"What happens if she wakes up?"

They held their breaths while the lights flickered.

"If she wakes up, she'll call for him."

Power surged through the controls of the stasis field.
There was nothing to be done but weather the storm.

And somewhere within her dreams, on a level too deep to detect,
